Its seems that the electric rad fan comes on sometimes before the engine is showing that it is even upto running temp?
I notice also that it is on after i leave the car after normal running ( not hot).

Does anyone else have this issue? is it just a faulty temp sensor of is it something new with these cars?

A couple of points to bear in mind;
1 Fans are engaged if the A/C is running, regardless of engine temperature.
2 The 1.6 is designed to run hot and post-cooling often occurs with mine, even after somewhat sedate driving in this cooler climate.

Not saying you might not have a fault, mind.
