Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Sounds like excessive tyre noise. Increases with road speed. Almost absent on new smooth road surface, extremely noisy on e.g. new tarmacadam (grit on tar). Hi everyone.

I've just bought a Citroen Cs3 and for the most part its very smooth but it seems to have an electrical fault:

The clock resets, the car always turns over second time around but not on the first time and after about 5 mins of the engine turning off I lose power to the locks. I was wondering if anyone could suggest what is going on...

Hi All,

I experienced a nasty puncture on the front nearside tyre but I was able to pull in very quickly so didn't drive on it very far. The tyre was wrecked with a huge bolt sticking into the tread area so I put the spare wheel on carried on the one mile to home. Within a few yards I heard a sequence of warning bongs and messages - handbrake...

Just got a 57reg C5 Estate to replace my 02, apart from having to re-learn the centre console, I noticed that the manual incremental shift is not working, the display does not light, and the box seems to stay in full auto mode, cannot as yet find any info on the workings of the unit. Anyone have any insights for me.

Would you attempt to remvoe this EGR yourself?

I think the EGR is stuck open so for the first time in its life I was going to remove it and get it cleaned. However, looking at these studs I am worried about snapping them. Would you just pour on a pile of WD40 and try it yourself?

It was a well worthwhile job. Removing the EGR and its pipework whilst awkward is not beyond any competent home mechanic - just make sure you have the replacement gaskets before you start. It give a good improvement.
I would like to have fully cleaned the intake but to remove it seems to require the removal of the exhaust manifold and I don't want...

I am having difficulty removing my ds3 blower fan,or heater fan for the cab.I have taken the glove box off and found it,and unplugged the connection, but cannot remove the fan unit.It looks like it twist off,but I am not sure.I brought the replacement fan,but cannot see how the unit comes...

Are you sure you need to take the fan out and not just change the blower motor control unit?

Unlock: The blower control module (12) (Quarter turn).
Disconnect the connector ( as c ).
Remove the blower control module (12).

got 2 slow punctures on the front of my X7 and i took it to garage to fix. It is at this point i realise i know very little about these sensors. When the tyre was removed he showed me a great weighty thing which was the sensor valve combined. Told this was leaking and 100 quid to replace :shock:

So this puncture showed up on the drivers...

I have a strange noise from the back side of the roof panel in the area where is the aerial antenna. On Citroen service I saw that the aerial base is fixed with a nut from the roof.
I'm wondering if there is a way to remove the aerial antenna base without removing the whole roof panel? If not, does anyone know if the roof panel...

This may seem like a duplicate post to my last one, but I’m going to try and word it differently in the hope I’ll get a more simplified answer 😁.

So, when I bought the car it had an EGR fault code P0405, changed the EGR (for a used one) then the fault changed to P0401 insufficient flow. Left it as was until last week when the turbo failed !...

One of the wheel nuts on my 2005 2.0 HDi Relay sheared off recently. The pads and discs were getting to the end of their life anyway so decided I would replace the whole front set while I was there. Initially I was hoping to remove the sheared off bolts with a screw extractor, but I think during drilling the guide...

Evening all, The van only has one rear fog and being a RHD it's on the RHS. I need a fog on the LHS for the French MOT. Does anyone know if the harness for the lights is the same for LHD and RHD? If so I can just get a secondhand light, if not I need to do some modding. I presume the it only has one reversing light and that is on the LHS?

After fitting new turbo and oil feed pipe, I still can’t get a good seal on the feed pipe, even after tightening, retightening (several times), removing copper washers and heating them up to soften and refitting, using 2 different sets of brand new washers !!!
It’s still leaking oil . Is there anywhere else in that area that could leak oil ? It...

After the persistent rain recently my drivers side rear footwell is a big puddle again.

I know it's definitely not the sunroof as I taped it up with waterproof tape and the leak persisted.

So far with the small amount of rain we have had over the weekend i can confirm the good ship Xantia is water tight, still getting a small pool of water in the dip in the previous pics but that is minimal, how long it will take for it to stop pooling i guess could be weeks but reckon it will stop before the foam backing fully dries out :)

Right, then on to the next job, finding out why there was a large quantity of hydraulic oil all over the top engine mount adjacent to the hydraulic reservoir! No sign of a leak or where it’s come from! Looks as if it’s sprayed from somewhere but where? I’ve steam cleaned the entire area and need to top up the reservoir. It’s a mystery!!

The pipe fittings to the rear struts changed a couple of times, so not all versions are compatible (unless you change the pipes at the same time). I don't know the specific dates and versions, but usually Mk1 and late Mk2 are not directly interchangeable.

Well,
Yesterday I changed all 4 injectors on the Citroen Relay.
The problem is that I can code only 2 of 4 injectors (n°1, n°4 ok n°2 and n°3 with the problem).
I started the van, made the auto correction/adjustement of the injectors, set the pump flow revving 2500rpm/3 min with clutch down.
The van runs great, no smoke or errors but I don't know...

With diagbox i've seen that the SCV valve works around 260-290 bars at idle. Is this value normal?

Got some others which did not return a code. Good only knows how is some of them are. I could not see a timestamp.
The pressure regulator was only changed a few months ago, so I hope that is not a new fault.

I'm not sure which of these faults caused it to go into limp mode a few weeks ago. All faults are still in the system....

Using a hairdryer I was able to raise and lower the air temperature displayed on the lexia by blowing warm air in before the MAF.
So this indicates that the circuitry is okay and functioning. Looks like a new MAF is indeed required. I'm totally lost as to what could need checked.

I have a C5 MK3 (X7) with hydraulic suspension. I got a small crack in my LDS reservoir. =D>
The most straight forward thing to do is replacing the reservoir with a new one. However a new one is a bit expensive for me right now.

I was searching the used parts database (here in Sweden) without any luck.

Hi all,
First post... Be gentle.

I've now had my X7 for a little over two months.

I cannot manually adjust the vertical adjustment any further. The near-side dipped headlight is still pointing so low that the end of the beam-end is only two metres away from the car.

Diagbox cannot interact at all the the headlights.

My car is a Citroen C5 X7...

Hello.

Just been round to my tyre place to get the wheels swapped front to back. Rear wheels were removed and both were found to be worn down on the inner edge of the tyre and like new on the outer edge! Both tyres were worn identically.

The tyre fitters were scratching their heads and offered the suggestion that the rear tracking may be out....

I own a Citroen Picasso 1.6 Desire 2008 plate. Recently I had a scrape with a bollard, and now the rear left hand side door won't open from the outside. It still opens from the inside, but when you try the outside handle nothing happens. You don't hear anything moving in the door.

Glow plugs are fine new filter, once its been left 12 hours or so it just has to crank for ages before starting, once warm it's fine?
Any ideas?
I have plugged it in and only fault is EGR which has been faulty before I had this issue
I can read live data but haven't a clue what it means?

On the c1 the tyre pressure light came on a couple of days after fitting the change of wheels. I checked the pressures and one was 4psi less then the other 3. I've just fitted front left frip and top ball joint, and in the process had to drill out abs sensor. The car has been on the Jack for a week, and as I expected the ABS light is on!
However the park brake is not engaging, when I apply it it briefly comes on and almost immediately goes off, (I can hear motor)
Can this situation be connected to ABS...

So are you saying you 'un-spliced' it and replaced the complete sensor and its wiring?

These are very sensitive devices and any interference or a short will cause faulty signal transmission. Glad you have it sorted now though.

The Webasto heater only heats up the coolant, i very much doubt this has anything to do with the issue you are having.
If you did want to remove it completely you would just disconnect the coolant pipes...
