C4GP (MK1) - Rear door lock.

Hi All!

Another annoying C4 GP problem for you. Should be an easy one, in theory?

Rear door, drivers side. Always physically unlocked. Doesn’t lock or unlock, but you can hear the motor jerking as though it’s trying. Also, the car never seems to know when you open the door. For example, you unlock the car, open rear door, throw kid in, car locks itself while throwing kid (door physically stays unlocked).

It’s as though, on an old school car, the door pin switch isn’t working. But I can’t find a pin switch on there. How does the car know when the door is open anyway?

Should be basic, there’s hardly anything in the door?

Ummmm….. yeah. Found it!

Three broken wires in the door loom under the rubber hater between the body and the door. Cool!
