Finally acquired a very pleasant Grand Picasso, 59k miles (2.0Blue HDi), only to find the clutch is well on he way out. Slight judder on gentle take ioff, but significant slippage if giving it the beans in an intermediate gear.
My reading of the market is that there are three key players for the DMF; LUK, Valeo and Sachs. I've generally never had any issues with Valeo, but over the last couple of years have heard a few people complaining about premature failure in other Valeo bits (particularly alternators), which makes me wonder if their quality is slipping -- or manufacture has gone to China.
Either way, would very much appreciate any input.
Mike.

Re: Which DMF to choose ?
Citroen use Valeo for their original clutches for the DW10FD engines on this model. I've never had any issues at all with Valeo.
Depending on your specific engine / model, Valeo even do a complete kit (Slave, Clutch & DMF) for just over £600.
