C5 X7 wipers needed

Unread post by Bandit12 »

Hi Guys,
Looks like I'm the latest sufferer of wiper motor failure. I've diagnosed a broken left motor but cannot find one anywhere. In desparation I just bought a pair of second hand ones guaranteed off ebay but neither of them work when plugged in! Plug my originals in and drivers works but passenger doesnt. plug in replacment right with origianl left (broken one) and the right works.

I did take my original apart but mechanics are fine and moving so its an electircal issue. I also followed BSI reset when plugging/unplugging but made no difference.

What a headache

Luckily seller on ebay very professional and immediately offered apology and refund etc. Still leaves me with a car I cant use though :(
Anyone know of a left motor for sale or even temporary swap to prove my left is defo duff.

Any help is appreciated

I have same prtoblem, the magnet was loose and moving freely so I applied a few drops of superglue and bingo! all working perfectly.

No idea how long the superglue will hold and whether I need to think of a more permenant solution but right now I'm just releived I can drive the car again.
