C4 Picasso heating climate problems
Hi all I’m after some help with my 2008 c4 Picasso exclusive for the last few weeks the climate control panel has been flickering on and off which results in heaters going on and off now it’s gone off altogether drivers side and passenger side not even illuminated so now I have got to have the windows open in this weather so the screen doesn’t mist up any help in what it could be would be much appreciated

Re: C4 Picasso heating climate problems
Try a BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure first as that can eliminate any BSI issues.
If that has not solved it, then ideally a diagnostic with Lexia / Diagbox would be recommended to determine the fault. I could just say the A/C ECU, but it really needs a diagnostic first.

Best to pop your VIN up (please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff) as there are multiple variations to these depending on trim level and model / options.

Re: C4 Picasso heating climate problems
As there are both driver and passenger controls at each end of the dash for controlling the system and you have said that both displays are fading, it would lead me to suggest the AC ECU as both these units plug into the AC ECU. What about the rear passenger control units? Are these displays also fading?
I would suggest that you get the AC ECU diagnosed as faulty to confirm this.
The ECU itself is on the right side of the fascia, shown here as item (3):
All the control panels front and rear feed into this ECU

Re: C4 Picasso heating climate problems
There are various part numbers for this unit, so ensure you have an identical part number. Whether it will need any configuration I can't say from here of course, but there is nothing to suggest that it does from the info I have.
