Today I tried changing the rear stiffness regulator, but the 10mm flare nuts beat me as 10mm to small & won't fit & an 11mm is to big so left that until tomorrow. So as it beat me today I've left it alone because if I go in, in my current mood I'll knacker the nuts & won't be able to tighten them back up........ But my main issue now is I can't get the F@#'ING suspension to go back up

2008 C5 Suspension issue
Evening all...
But my main issue now is I can't get the F@#'ING suspension to go back up

it's got the SERVICE light on but no faults on diagbox but when I press the raise button it does nothing physically or shows anything on the dash.............. Do I need to pressurise the system or should the pump do it by it's self & if I have to do it anyone point me in the right direction.

This first part might be old-wives tales, but I don't think it will let you pressurise the system while the diagnostics tool that depressurised it is connected? So to eliminate that, remove all diagnostics tools, turn the ignition off, go for a cuppa, have a smoke or otherwise kill five minutes. come back, start the car, put suspension to max setting, go have a sandwich, it will start the pump, heard like a cigarette lighterpowered compressor, but it won't seem to rise. If it's energised the pump, it will eventually rise, but takes a fricking lifetime to do achieve rideheight as when you depressurise the system, it dumps all the fluid stored in the spheres, so it's got to pump them up to a pressure before the car starts lifting, that's 7 spheres to pump up to 55bar with about 0.4-0.5L each, with that silly wee pump, coming through something like 3mm bore piping. [yoda voice] Quick, be this, will not[/yoda]
