hi,i have a c4 picasso 1.6 hdi 110.does anyone know the wiring for the glow plugs,the car in summer as started ok.has soon as it got cold,its nit starting good miss firing,had this on my Xantia and the glow plugs were shot,replaced glow plugs along with the relay in front of the battery,still gives fault.no fault with diagbox,any help

2003 2.0l petrol c5 exclusive estate low mileage 94k

The issue started a few months ago when it started breaking down only when it got in traffic eg at traffic lights it would could out and not restart, if left for about two hours it would start up and run as normal.
It went in for mot broke down and will now only run for few seconds and stops....

guys i recently got my coolant flushed and replaced my low coolant light had been coming on and off when the car was parked on a camber. the light came on again and i topped up about 1/2 litre of coolant with water ! what sort of coolant do i need in there i would like to add about another 1/2 litre of pure coolant. My '09 Exclusive has developed a light knock/rattle from, I assume, the front suspension. If I was in an 'ordinary' car, I'd say it was a drop link bush - is it likely to be the same thing on my C5, or should I be looking elsewhere? If anyone can direct me to a diagram of the front suspension setup, I'd be very grateful! :)

Last week had the low screen wash warning on the Xantia Exclusive (didn't know it had such a thing!) Filled up, about 4 litres or so, but the light continues to light whenever the front washers are activated. Rear wash wipe doesn't cause the light.

Switch off/on and the message has gone. Check the level to find that , if anything, it has been overfilled. I have a Pella type pump, and I'm tempted to remove some oil. Any thoughts?

Any advice appreciated on flushing and bleeding Xantia V6 coolant. Going to do it tomorrow, found one bleed screw so far under a plastic cover near the air box and the coolant reservoir. Particularly want to clean out the gearbox oil cooler.

Recently my car has been not starting after I have driven it, parked up and tried to start it again.
When it wont start the key fob wont open the doors, if you manually open the doors with the key the starter will turn but not start and the dash/display will be blank.

Lost count on how many calipers I have had due to the handbrake levers siezing. Last set are 14 months old and feels like there sticking again (will check tomorrow) as the lever has gone floppy.

Any1 on here know any one that can do some wiring changes. I've put a c2 vts engine in my 1.4 c3 and need plugs altered so engine loom and engine fuse box plug into the c3 chassis loom and also 1 plug altered on chassis loom so it plugs into c2 ecu.(2 fit 1 doest)

On an Xantia the rear wiper blade is mounted on an offset, unlike the normal arrangement of staying inside the hook end, the Valeo design has a solid pin on the wiper, which has the effect of placing the wiper parallel to the arm, but offset approx one space higher. My 2011 C5 1.6Thp suddenly developed a miss on the way home and told me to see a mechanic. However, it now seems to run fine again.
Is there a quick way to turn off the EOBD lamp without going to the garage or buying a tool as it is making the cooling fan run all the time which is really annoying....

Having removed the seized 1.4hdi engine , swapped over loads of bits to the replacement engine and gotten it back in, we have 2 wiring blocks left over, 1 blue , 1 red.

The blue one we solved - it goes to a dummy on the air-filter box.

The red one , 3 wires within , as in the photo , has no obvious home.

Somebody please put us...

Heya - got a xsara HDi - smokes like a trooper on startup and clattery , quickly quietens down.

We are doing an engine swap and will be using the original flywheel. We will also be using the original injection pump.

Before stripping it down we checked the timing, the engine turns over fine but with the camshaft sprocket in the correct place , the flywheel locking hole does not line up....

A few nights back due to the sod you attitude of many ( not all ) of todays younger drivers, I was forced to throw out the anchors and do an emergency stop.

I'm glad to say my 2002 C3 pulled of the stop perfectly and no damage.

Now the interesting point after a little cursing I carried on driving however...

My C5 has had the fuel filter removed and a throwaway cartridge type installed by the previous owner. I believe this is allowing fuel to run back to the tank causing difficult starting. Does the standard filter setup incorporate a non return valve?

chaps, on an hdi injector (a bosch one) there are 3 numbers.. 2 are in the same place/plane - starting 044 and Z and the third is longer and on 3 rows and in a different part of the injector head..

if my first 2 numbers match an injector I have found online, can i assume they are the same or is there more to it :O
