C4 VTS - Adjusting power steering pump assistance

Hi

I want to decrease the amount of assistance of the power steering pump, to make the steering less vague . Does any one have the wiring scheme to the power steering pump ? Has anyone done it ?

That's not wise - it's set up by default to provide variable assistance based on the following:

• The speed of rotation of the steering wheel
• The vehicle speed
• The temperature of the steering fluid

Obviously the assistance is reduced the faster the car is travelling. The system is computer controlled and you cannot change the system.

Do you have the wiring scheme to the power string pump ?

As I said - it takes inputs from your steering wheel angle sensor, the ESP system and is controlled by computer within the Power Steering ECU.
