EAG Suspension parts

Post by mickthemaverick »

I have just taken delivery of a pair of droplinks for my MK 1 C5 and they are made by EAG. I wondered if anyone has already used them and how good they are (because they were on offer) :-D

Well I fitted the droplinks today and my magic carpet ride is restored. Good quality parts with manufacturer's spec 6mm Allen sockets in the bolts rather than the cheap 5mm holes in the ones I replaced. That gave me a bit of grief at first trying to get my 6mm key into the 5mm hole on the first one. Once I woke up and changed to the right key I had already rounded the socket and so elected 30 seconds with the angle grinder rather than mess about trying to grip the ball joint! From there all went well and the job was done in 35 minutes in total. I am finding it tougher to hold the wheels in place when replacing the wheel bolts than it used to be, clearly the wheels get heavier as they age!! :-D
