havnt owned the car long but was running fine untill i put red diesel in it (was goin to use it for track) . its a peugeot 306 hdi 2.0

anyway at first it cut out and engine management light came on, it drove fine after that for a while then it would cut out again and now its in limp mode.

iv drained the fuel out of the tank and flushed it twice...

Well as the title says, I need a Motor for the radiator fan. Because the air condition is only blowing warm air. My mechanic tested the motor directed the the power supply....and it seems not working at all.

My XUD11BTE doesn't like the rain, the rare ocassions when she won't start first time when hot or when I get loud nailing or a rougher idle is when it rains. I thought I sorted it last weekend, every time she nails I saw bubble in the fuel pipes. They along with the bulb and the filter bowl have been replaced, it seemed to cure it until it chucked...

the pump in tank is low pressure what kind of pressure should it be as I thik mine weak when it primes ir come out with a gush think it like a trickle

I'm more about the underbonnet bits, Series 1.

Can anyone remember seeing a car thus equipped? Was the pump just in the offside front corner, bolted to the inner wing and almost touching the headlight?

While I'm at it, was the control box under the dash driver's side or atop the HVAC assembly on passenger's side?

ok, my fuel pressure sensor has gone on my 406 2.0hdi.... thing is they are best part of £150 new. I have found one on e bay and rang the guy who said it came off a 90 bhp,mine is 110.....he said that might not make a difference but I do need the part numbers to match....What I want to know is, is there anywhere I can check the fuel sensor part...

Its been sat on the drive for a year now, when it happened I was driving along a dual-carriageway and changing up through the gears it felt a bit sloppy and strange, at the roundabout it would not come out of 5th :(

so my 406 2.0 hdi has come up with this fault code 0190, basically saying low fuel pressure, getting antipollution fault on start up along with engine management light,put some additive in to clean fuel system,injectors, and have put in new fuel filter and tried to clear fault, comes straight back.

does anyone have any ideas? worried that...

Im looking at replacing all of my pads and discs but cant decide whether to buy oem or aftermarket?

Peugeot pads and discs are quite expensive but I want the brakes to feel as good as when the car was new!

Does anyone know who makes peugeots brakes?

I bought a cheap reader for my mrs scenic and cleared the engine fault light but cannot see where it would plug into my car? it was just under the drivers side with the fuses on her...

The Sat Nav in my 407 is not detecting my current location, it shows me as somewhere in Coventry?!?

About once in every five times I go to start the 405 1.9TD up, when I turn the ignition to the start position, everything cuts out!

Lights, ignition icons, interior lights - Everything!

If I turn it back to off, then turn it to the starting position again, everything goes well, and it fires up.

And before you say it, I have cleaned the battery...

When it's hot (i.e. all the time now) the aircon works for the first couple of minutes and then cuts out. There is a leak in the system but I regass it regularly. Both fans are running. I recently bought a Peugeot 306 1.9TD Meridian and it had a few known issues of which I have managed to sort most as they were just niggles.

The air con wasn’t working so I decided to gat a re-gas whilst it was on offer. No leaks were found and it was gassed so worked perfectly for a few hours and then nothing :( .

My wifes 307 Hdi90 52plt, has intermittently had a screeching session which believed was the drive belt.

But reading more into it, it could be the Alternator clutch.

Can these be replaced with a new part by myself or an alternative type of non-clutch Alternator be fitted.

Hi, Iam unable to undo my wifes sump plug on her 306 . the square inner fitting is rounded and two of the edges on the hexagonal are rounded too ! Is it a case of trying the Bahco pliers .

dial lights and lights on buzzer not working, but no fuses are blown? before it happend a small bit of smoke came up from around the steering column area. Also the indicator relay started clicking randomly,but indicators and hazards work fine when used. Any ideas?

Hi, Iam trying to change the oil in my 306. The sump plug square fitting is very rounded. The only way to undo the sump plug, is to use a socket . Anyone know what size socket it is ? the largest I have is 21m/m .

I got a second hand rad out the scrap yard and had the same problem so cut the hose but cant do that now. Iv removed the metal clip but no joy so can i detatch the rubber hose where it joins the metal pipe and then get it out of the rad once its out of...

Right, said car is a 95 XSi 2.0l.

Gear shifs are nice and normal with the exception of when going manually between 3rd and Drive - the engine cuts for a good 2 seconds. Weird in the fact that the 'box is non electronic...

Starts in Park and Drive (Not Neutral) and the reverse lights dont work.

My question is; Does the 'box have ANY electronics...

Is it a relatively straight forward job to remove these? They are in a poor state & want to have them powder coated.

The small end of the long rod poped off in Northampton last saturday. The RAC man made a temporary repair to get it golng.
I have a genuine new replacement, but I cannot get the larger end ,which is connected directly to the gearbox, off the ball.

Any hints, or tips most welcome'

Are all peugeot wheels the same offset? i.e. would a set of 205 wheels fit?

Does anyone have a picture of a 406 dashboard with the radio removed?

When I got my 406 it had an aftermarket radio fitted to it.

I removed it and fitted the genuine radio back to it however it looks like the cage is missing or something as it doesn't locate. Most radio's I've seen appear to have a metal cage type thing on the centre console...
