Peugeot 807 2.2 hdi aftermarket head unit

Hey guys. Ok so I've decided to treat myself to a new DVD.gps.dab+ head unit but when I tried fitting it yesterday the motorised screen fouls the heater vents so it is unviewable. Is there some kind of shim I can buy so the stereo sits a little further out the dash so the screen clears the vents? It needs to sit about half a inch further out than standard and with this the way it is the stereo doesn't lock into the cage. Any ideas guys? Anybody had this issue before? Cheers guys 8-)

Brings up plenty of hits.
