It needs proper diagnostics before we can realistically help. There should be fault codes logged for engine issues. Once you have those, post them up along with the VIN so we can relate them directly to the correct engine ECU.

Does this model have a downstream oxygen sensor? If so just look at the live data from both sensors at the same time when the engine is fully warmed up, the upstream should constantly fluctuate between 100 - 800 mV
The down stream value is not that important as long as it stays fairly still, if the downstream is copying the upstream the cat is not...

The system has strategies for dealing with interrupted regeneration cycles. It learns from driving habits, but if interrupted can re-schedule an earlier regeneration as soon as conditions allow. After multiple aborted attempts it will ultimately flag a message up on screen 'Risk of Particle Filter Blocking' or similar, so then you know it's time...

Vacuum pipes are the usual culprits but some aren't easy to find, trace them along in the engine bay. After I changed the starter on my C5 I had no boost at all, I gently pulled on all the pipes I could see and found one that was disconnected, finding where they came from is not always easy either, a bright light might help.

On a related issue, I tried to re-glue mine that were coming off with proper door seal rubber glue but it did not work well

I then just used some all purpose builder silicon and they have been fine for a few years now

What symptoms are you getting that made you check the exhaust temp reading? Warning light? running fault? Is the DPF still re generating?
You need a wiring diagram & check the continuity of the other wire back to the ECU.

An update . Removed the main feed from the battery into the engine compartment fuse box and the drain is still there - these circuits being fed from this fuse box are not the problem. Also removed the heater plug relay and again no effect on the drain.
So next step seat belt restrainers/air bag system and central locking motors?

When you say 'it doesn't engage the starter' do you mean the starter spins but doesn't engage the flywheel, the starter solenoid clicks but doesn't engage the starter, the fuse board clicks but the starter solenoid doesn't or finally...nothing happens at all?
Depending on the answer, various simple tests can be done.

No, only the Relay/Boxer with the Ford Puma engine have this. Not aware of any other models/engines that have this.

If the blower is not working it could be one of a lot of things. I know that's not helpful but the blower fan draws a lot of current and this can damage the relay in the BSM (engine bay fuse box) the circuit board of the BSM the connectors, the wiring and the speed controller. If someone has tracked the fault down to the BSM then, yes that could...

You should match them up and fit in pairs otherwise the characteristics will not be the same and this can affect handling. If it's faulty send it back (they should pay the return postage) and get them to send another one out of the identical model. Or send them both back, get a refund and get some elsewhere.

I had a similar experience after blanking the EGR and having it papped out,the Inlet Air Temp now sits at -40C....YIKES !,However,it appears that the map deliberately uses the lowest possible temperature available to keep the ECU happy. It does'nt effect the driving so ...fingers crossed !!

What are you using to check the power at the lamp? i would use another filament (not LED) bulb to check. This should be very simple to identify so im not sure what you are doing wrong?
