I bought new front shock absorbers for my Peugeot 5008 2011 but one is faulty the model is trw JGM1241t, my question is they are sold in pairs can i buy one from another brand will that be an issue?

You should match them up and fit in pairs otherwise the characteristics will not be the same and this can affect handling. If it's faulty send it back (they should pay the return postage) and get them to send another one out of the identical model. Or send them both back, get a refund and get some elsewhere.
