1.6hdi 2006 partner gear linkage
Hi any common issues with the gear linkage. Since it was on the ramp for an mot yesterday the gear change doesn't feel right. It has excessive play back and forth. Side to side is still tight.

Could be .. Gear cable ball joints may of come lose , ive a 2.0hdi picasso what i did was 4th gear wasn't engaging fully so i had the stick in the 4th position to what it could then on the bear box end the top left ball joint i lifted the yellow locking tab with flat blade screw driver pushed the arm its on fully back heard a click push the yellow locking tab down and it lined up my lose gears.
