the mrs 308 1.6hdi is a slow starter, we put a new battery in yesterday now that winter is almost upon us, the old one was actually too small and a lower cca, however with the correct new one 096 its much the same
so, that really leaves us with having to change the starter motor, it looks hard to do on a 1.6hdi - is it?
from underneath or on the top?
or am I better getting a garage to do it?

Re: change 308 1.6hdi starter
update
the slow starter was at its worst one day last week after a couple of days of hardly any use, it failed to start.
have bought a brand new starter, and a mechanic friend of mine fitted it for us, and it starts properly now.

Its surprising how slow the starters get when they start to fail, pleased you got it sorted, i had to do one of mine 3 yrs ago so much better after.
