My 2011 1.4hdi 207 vin number VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] is always showing my exhaust gas temperature sensor as reading 149°c and that's with it unplugged, yes that's not a typo it is unplugged.
This is on my diagbox and also on my mates snap-on scanner.
I have checked the plug and have a 5volt reference, but i am unsure how i test the other cable in the plug.
I'm somewhat confused as to what's going on with this, i did change the sensor for another one and that has made no difference.
Thanks

Re: 207 exhaust gas temperature sensor issue
What symptoms are you getting that made you check the exhaust temp reading? Warning light? running fault? Is the DPF still re generating?
You need a wiring diagram & check the continuity of the other wire back to the ECU.

It was pointed out to me that the temperature sensors temperature looked wrong, so closer look has found this issue,
It's not been remapped or anything like that.
It's regenerating every 220 miles or so,
