I've read on here a few times in the past that people have had their suspension pumps rebuilt, or at least new brushes installed. Is there a particular guide to this, or a go-to place to purchase the spares? Searching on google doesn't seem to show a great deal which is frustrating.

Is it possible to use 205/70-15 on a C5 (break)?
They should be legal with only just above 4% larger then the original 215/55r16 size.
I prefere 15 since we have plenty of bad roads around here wich is a shaky ride on 205/60r16 wich seems to still give plenty of room in the wheel arches.

I've had a persistent oil leak from my 1999 DW8 Dispatch. Decided to finally have a garage have a look, see what they could find and he's diagnosed it as a crankshaft oil seal leak.

Hi all, after some advice from those in the know.

My Xm front caliper is failed the MOT as it's binding slightly. I've been looking for replacements, but noticed that there are quite a few cheaply priced xantia front calipers available.

From the pics they look very similar and I wanted to know if a xantia caliper is the same or will fit my XM....

This comes on intermittently and I have been lucky so far that it has been out when MOT done!
However it is now on more than off. I understand there may be a faulty connection somewhere.
I am very much a layman when it comes to cars.
Anybody got an idiots guide for me to help sort this light problem out?

Read various comments about the intervals. Some say 75k, 140k, 150k.
What is the correct one.

Reason I ask is that my Xantia HDI has done 230k miles and 70k since the last change. She's been a great servant but us starting to show her age a bit and I am reluctant to spend a load of money if she ends up in the knackers yard in a year or so.

Hi folks, just throwing out a quick question here, weve got a C5 HDI on a 03plate, on a regular (ish) basis the car goes into limp mode this shows up as a beep from the dash followed by the engine manaement light coming on, this can happen anywhere between a 300 mile trip and a trip to the local shops !!

I've been having a rattling issue at the back of my C5 since I've bought the car, and since the nice weather I've been driving around a lot more with the windows down. For the record my AC does work but for short trips I sometimes prefer the windows down.

I've done very little mileage on the Xantia in the last year (maybe 2k at most) and MOT time is coming, due mid July. Last time I was warned that the front pads were down to minimum thickness, so leaving it rather late I had a chance to look at them today and didn't like what I found.

This last week I've noticed my C5 2.0 HDI 16v 6spd manual is hesitating/hunting probably around 60% of the time.

It's only very minor, probably around 50-75 rpm variation.

I notice it intermittently under these circumstances:
Idle when starting the car from cold and hot
Motorway using cruise control
Driving at a steady speed using pedal
Steady...
