Hi, I have a 2009 relay minibus with the 2.2 Ford Puma engine.
I want to remove the 60mph restriction as I'm converting it to a camper.
Apparently on this one, it is set in the BSI not the ecu, and I can't find anyone able to remove it because of that.!
Can anyone help with who or how I can get it done as I'm really stuck with it!! Any advise greatly appreciated..
Thanks

Re: Relay minibus 60mph restriction removal 2.2 deisel 2009
Hi and welcome. These I believe don't have a third party limiter, so it's an internal ECU setting most likely and one that Diagbox may not be able to adjust.
I suspect you may have to go to the dealer - as others have tried with Diagbox and have received the message you can see below:
Mind you, although it won't affect and your van, this is coming up.... as linked to by 'Gibbo' in the Speed Limiters Thread.

This can't be removed by Diagbox or Lexia, even by the dealer.
It is managed by the injection ECU not the BSI.
Diagbox/Lexia (if the ECU has speed limiter functionality) can set the speed limit function but can't remove it once set. The built in speed limiter function has 2 possible settings 100 kph or 90 kph (for the models over 3.5t).
If you set it to 100 kph you can later reduce it down to 90 kph. If you do this it is not reversable & can't be put back up to 100 kph again or removed.
You best bet would be to speak to an ECU repair/remapping company that should be able to reflash the ECU to remove it.
