Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

G'Day All,
My Xantia V6 has been trashing the high pressure pipes between the steering ram and pinion.
I am told this is due to wear and/or softness of the steering ram bushes.
These don't seem to be available anywhere in Australia through any of the Citroen parts specialists.
Does anyone know if they would be available direct from ZF or if bushes...

Agree, HUD is great.

Best feature for me on our new C4 is the adaptive cruise, it’s amazing how the car speeds up and slows down and will apply the brakes to if required all based on the traffic flow. Using that and the steering assistance at the same time makes longer journeys feel shorter!

Hi All,

A bit of a story to this one. I have a 2016 Citroen Relay 2.0 BlueHdi and its smoking...badly! This is currently running a remap which was done before my time. The van runs and starts fine but the black smoke is very excessive. Just to point out that the smoke is a new fault and the van had been running fine for some time prior to this....

Hi

I recently did some engine work that entailed engine out. As a result, AC was pumped down, pipes disconnected, compressor off etc. Before work AC worked.

Since putting all back and having system recharged it doesn’t work. I’ve used diagbox which throws up code F995 - Engine Fusebox - fault in the aircon compressor - ownership not referenced....

Hi All,

Last time I bought any spheres was in 2014 from Citroen Services in Rutherglen - they used to supply IFHS spheres, had listings for the spheres on their website and it was possible to collect them over the counter.

Not anymore as far as I can see! Bought out by Cam Auto's and not doing Citroen stuff anymore, and certainly no listings...

I have yet another electrical issue on my 2015 grand picasso blue hdi.It now intermittently throws up a fault which disables most functions and illuminates many fault lights. Hello all, I have a 2013 1.6hdi DS3 which I use every day as a driving instructor. It came up with an engine management fault yesterday and I used one of the cheap generic fault code readers to identify the fault. (I do have the Lexia program installed on my laptop but now it refuses to open due to an internal fault )

The code reader says P2562...

To try and cut a long story short the cars (2011 DS3 1.6 THP 156) had a lot of work done to it lately (timing, clutch, impulse wheel, water pump, thermostat, crankshaft sensor, head gasket etc etc ).

I had to change my water/oil exchanger because it was leaking and about 1 1/2 litres of engine oil was being pressed into the cooling water. It is a C6 2.7 HDI 2008.

I changed the water/oil exchanger with a new seal (located in the middle of the engine between the cylinder rows with the oil filter) and it looks OK. I was able to suck out...

I need to top up the PS on the van due to a weep on the PS pump and the BOL's states Total AT42. I've got a tub of Total Fluide ATX. This states it's Dexron II whereas AT42 is Dexron III so I'm guessing it isn't compatible?
Could someone confirm this please?

Hi all, not been on for a while mainly because the c5 has been fine.

I was keeping an eye on the hydractive pump ,(BHI unit) and wonder how long it will be before it decides to stop working 🙂 Still OK but beginning to get a 6th sense tingle about it...

In addition to the fuses I read somewhere there's a big fuse that blows if there's a major...

Hi friends.
I'm looking for a Technician near Eastbourne East Sussex with a Lexia to run a diagnostic on my son's 2012 Citroen C3 mk2, who's dashboard thinks it's December and lit up lick a chrismas tree.

Hello Folks,

Been able to smell an acrid burning smell when driving a 56 plate Citroen Xsara Picasso1.6hdi, so on investigation this weekend i discovered injector number 1 had a build up of carbon around the base that looked like black glass.

After a lot of hassle trying I finally succeeded removing the injector only to find the sleeve was still...

**Solved**

Purchased replacement sleeve, pressed in sleeve using dud injector and removed the oil that had drained into the piston pot.

Double checked the glow plugs with multi meter whist everything was in kit form. And built it back up like a lego set.

Hello,
I started hearing wear indicator on my front brakes. The rotors were good when I was changing tyres. So I started looking at some Zimmermann brake pads, but I got stuck on part that there are pads for different brake rotors diameter. There are 283, 290 and 304 mm brake rotors in diameter.

The front suspension has failed big time the whole gearbox plus engine weight is pushing down on the front of the poor car its no longer safe to drive the works to put the car back on the road were out weighed by just getting another old runner so thats what i did, The scrap value...

Hello. Went to check the levels on Fred and I have no brakes, suspension or steering. She was fine when I parked a couple of days ago. Auxiliary belt is good.

Suspect the pump but before I take it off is there anything else I should check for?

You were right! I've had to use a join to the original pipe as the new pipe fits on the pump but not the reservoir as the pipe is too small. Obviously can't find a citroen pipe so this repair will have to do. You were right about priming the pump too.

Hi,

I have just bought a 2010 C5 with 130k miles. I love the car and would like to keep it, but already have problems. There was a leak (seemed like oil) and I put it into the garage and turns out it needs a new steering rack. I have a price for a refurbished one of £390 fitted and I'm happy to pay it.
Problem is the anti pollution light has now...

'06 C8, I got a warning, anti pollution system isn't working. I put dpf cleaner in around 300 miles ago as it warned it was due to block and had coolant low level warnings. As I said, once this has been resolved I will let you know the outcome. Seems the FAP is at fault and comes as part of the tank, from dealer the price around £250 but on back order with no date. All other outlets the same, only place I can get one is eBay at £935.

Argh!! To cut to the chase, as I attempted to pull the internal rear view mirror housing from its windscreen mounting, a crack approx 40cm long appeared horizontally under the mounting point (photo) ! And I wasn't even trying too hard, and its was my 3rd attempt! Haynes says pull down sharply ....to release the housing from its (strong) spring...

I recently bought a C4 Hatch, 2004, 1.4 Petrol, 113000 Km. It has oil leak in the left side of engine, from near the head gasket. I searched the forum and understood that it is a common problem in C4 petrol engines, especially the 1.4.
