DPF/FAP problem continue

Unread post by GORAX »

Hi everyone, C4 Grand Picasso 2015 BlueHDI As some people have recently noticed, I'm having problems with the DPF.

Prehistory: DPF was full. Cleaning without dismantling didn't help. New DPF installed and trained. Adblue was deactivated and was activated again. There was peace for a while. Adblue gave error P208E. Wynns adblue cleaner tipped into the tank. Error went away after a few rides. DPF problem again for 2 days. When I drive off or want to gain speed, the service light comes on with a DPF message. After a few seconds the light goes off. When I drive on the highway I get 350-400 degrees DPF heat. Eolys he has 1.2 liters. When idling I hear a hissing sound from the bottom of the vehicle. I'm thinking about selling the car.

What else do I need to check?

Hi GORAX.

When you added this to your post it took your original request out of the Unread/ Unanswered Listings. That means that the Tech Advisers, who volunteer to work part time for the forum, won't be able to immediately find your original question. It can take a while before someone can get round to answer all the queries that come up on the Forum Board. Can I suggest you re-post your original question and simply wait for a reply.

I know you will see views for your post but that doesn't mean a Tech Adviser has viewed it.

Cheers, I hope this helps you out.

I was coding and the original software was installed before I had adblue deactivated. After coding came mkl and service the dpf is full. At home I deleted the errors and disconnected the battery. Battery connected and the values came out completely different. Then I go and speed through at 150-160 kmh. At some point the diagnostic device showed messages P208E and P2048. But mkl or service didn't light up. Mistakes came and went again but now they are there. But mkl doesn't burn. The value was 4.41 at the beginning and 6.36 at the end of the trip. He didn't regenerate.

Adblue Tank game over? Or adblue injector?

The errors above are to do with the SCR (UREA / Adblue) circuit not the DPF.
P2048 is telling you there's a short circuit to the Adblue Injector and P208E shows a blockage somewhere.
Fault Code: P2048 11
Description of Fault:
  • Control of the urea injector: Short circuit to earth. Detection of an electrical fault on the urea injector control line: Detection of a short circuit to earth.
Conditions for Fault to clear:
  • The following conditions have to be met:
    - After switching the ignition off and then back on
    - When driving
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:
  • Limitation of urea solution injection
  • Switching on of the warning lamp and/or warning message: Engine diagnosis warning lamp
  • Urea solution warning lamp
Symptoms:
  • -
Suspect Areas:
  • Urea injector
  • Engine management ECU
  • Electrical harness
  • Connectors
  • Main supply (Relay ; Fuses...)
  • Power supply (Relay ; Fuses...)
I think this diagnosis has been made more difficult as a result of the intervention when the Adlue system was 'deleted' and therefore this has complicated matters as we don't know what was done and whether it was reinstated correctly or whether the Engine ECU software needs to be reapplied as a result....

If there is an electrical fault with the operation of the UREA injector, then of course this can also lead to a blockage fault. Example if the Urea is being pumped but the injector is not working, then it may lead to a blockage at this point causing the second fault.

Thanks Marc

According to Diagbox, the urea pressure is 4 bar when idling. I'll then check the cables and injector. Do you have a plan where which fuse and relay are located?

or should I get a new one? completely overhauled they cost around 740 euros. Cheaper used. I don't have the part number but I was able to find prices by car model.

I also had an emissions test done. 26,000 particles were counted. I would receive a plaque telling you workshop. But adblue doesn't work as it should.

In Poland I found someone who charged 300 euros for the repair.
