French Car Forum

My wife's C4 has just broken down with it saying 'Auto stop' or something like that. She said it made a 'clunking' sound & then just cut out.
She's trying to get hold of breakdown to get it to our local garage at the moment.
I'm sat at home feeling pretty useless .
Any ideas what it could be?

Hi all,
My partner's daughter (in France) has a '99 Xantia petrol. Think it's 1.8 16 valve engine.
After fixing a leak last year on a Y junction return pipe near the sub-frame, the car has now developed a serious leak from the bottom of the front central accumulator, pressure regulator.
I had taken the skid plate/belly pan off and identified the...

I want to share with you my issue and the repair I did to the EPB, and hopefully it would help many...

Does anyone know the procedure for removing the rear brake back plates?

Mine are scraping the discs and no amount of cleaning seems to resolve

Hi

Need to change a rear bearing on the C4. Ive been told it has either a 25mm or 30mm inner diameter for the bearing. Can't find any info on which size it is short of dismantling rear wheel assembly and measuring it. Does anyone know what the size is or where I may find a definite answer say for example with the vin?

Many Thanks

Having now Torque Pro permanently (yup , sorry, but i installed an android radio on my C5 - function over prettiness :-D ) , i realized that throttle body doesn't move most of the times. Removed it today and gave it a good cleaning , but it continues with same behavior.
I have several questions: Could it be that the normal and i'm looking at the...

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help.
I've today fitted my new citroen tow bar and electrics.
The only stumbling block is that there is no pin out for the brown plug in the tow module.
This is from the module to the 13pin socket at the tow ball.
Can anyone access the database?

C5 2002 2.2 Auto estate. Will the car sensors warn me of a low level? Does my earlier Mk1 have the FAP with float tank so if
I do top up with a litre it automatically re calculates the level or does the tank need reprogramming with Lexia? (I have one if you need it).

If I ignore all warnings and do not top up the Eolys fluid tank what happens?...

Hi all. My 65 plate C4 Picasso Exclusive+ panoramic roof blind is kaput. Holding up the dial on the centre roof panel for 10 seconds (the old reset hack) results in a very annoying grinding noise. Looks like the motor that runs the blind back and forth is dead. Any ideas how to replace it? I’m struggling to find out how to even get to it, via the...

Looking at the C5. What I really want is comfort but with a newer car so I can drive into cities. Living on dirt tracks so needs to be reasonably high. Also need a decent engine and I'm really not sure about 3 cylinder engines.

Or the C4 x? Or peugeot 2008/ 3008? All on the same diesel engine.

Is the C5 aircross comfortable, compared to the...

Hello everyone,

I have a 2019 Citroen Relay H3/L4 and need to replace the rear hand brake cables.

Has anyone done this? I can't see how on earth you are meant to remove the circlip holding the cable in place behind the dust shield.

Surely you don't have to remove the hub and dust shield??

Hello,

This is the third time I'm experiencing a diesel leak and spray, which can cause serious problems and is very unpleasant.

The last time it happened, I was on the highway with my baby on board when I suddenly noticed a strong diesel smell inside the cabin, and a red engine warning light came on.

I’ve already had the fuel high-pressure...

So my lemon of a 2019 Grand spacetourer 1.2 petrol has decided that, after travelling to Ireland and back, it wants to be down on power with the non descript U121E fault code.

Google doesnt throw anything up other than a helpful post back to this forum saying 'U' fault code is likely to be communications related. My very basic OBD reader just...

Hi all does anybody know what colour the reverse lights are on a citroen berlingo mk1 04 van so that I can power my reverse camera

Hi, first time posting here as my Citroen C4 Grand Picasso Exclusive (2015) has served us well for years with few problems. My passenger side wing mirror has been stuck in the folded out position for months, when we've had it checked out the mechanic says the whole unit needs replacing (these are the same people who replaced just the folding motor...

Hi
I believe my turbo has a minor leak of exhaust gases which are flowing up through the turbocharger area, if that sounds feasible.
The evidence I have is a repeated blackening of the turbo VGT actuator at the front. I also hear a slight (intermittent) whine when accelerating, but power feels fine.
I can relieve the symptoms by spraying WD40 on...

Hi, in the process of hunting down a few remaining faults with the 307cc. I've got 5 faults...

Hi,

I have bought a scanner with Diagbox 9.85 software and Super CAN VCI driver. The scanner gets recognized, license is valid. Got a laptop with windows 7 32bit. Hi I’m looking for a diagram, or explanation how to connect the buttons of the Multifunction control panel (the one with the lower display), to BSI/NAC.

Hi all

So following on from my other post about a fault and DTC with the RH headlight, my X7 also has the following two codes stored:

I'd be grateful for a bit of advice please!

Somebody bumped my Berlingo Mk3 while parked. As a result, a bracket holding the main headlight has snapped.

Is it possible to replace the bracket in a DIY repair? I've seen the repair kits on eBay, not sure if they contain the correct part.

Best Wishes,

Shaun

Hi hope someone can't point me in the right direction for fault finding a none spinning blower fan.

Like i mentioned in another topic ( ) , i fitted a new MAF (Continental) and MAP (Nipodenso) , but i continue with very high readings at idle (12 - 13)
Doing some search , it seems that some cars need a reset by disconnecting battery for around 10 minutes.
Could this be the case for a 2011 citroen C5 2.0 Hdi 163 hp?

Hi!

New user from Sweden here!

I own a 2012 Citroën C5 with hydraulic suspension. I'm experiencing an issue with the steering and have searched far and wide for answers. When driving, the steering wheel does not return to center after I let go of it. Instead, it stays at the exact angle where I release it, which feels very strange. However, if I...

I have a Citroen C5 X Hybrid. New around first quarter 2024.
I know that it can charge via the cable/plug and also charge via regenerative charging.
However I notice that if I set the car to save battery for 10 or 20 km range (usually after I am at around 0% charge left) then the car will charge rapidly while I am driving.
Fuel consumption goes...
