Panoramic Roof Blind Motor

Unread post by Gioconda »

Hi all. My 65 plate C4 Picasso Exclusive+ panoramic roof blind is kaput. Holding up the dial on the centre roof panel for 10 seconds (the old reset hack) results in a very annoying grinding noise. Looks like the motor that runs the blind back and forth is dead. Any ideas how to replace it? I’m struggling to find out how to even get to it, via the dial. I've seen replacement motors on a certain auction site for circa £37, but would need part numbers etc. to know I'm getting the right one.
Thanks.

Hi and welcome.

If you need an original, genuine part number or part diagram, and can't already find the info you need on the Forum, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 2 years, so excellent value.

If interested, links are below, then pop your VIN up.

Appears to be in the front console part:
C4 Pic roof blind.jpg
£267.65 from Citroen!!

No idea how you get to it, you probably have to dismantle all the visors to get to the motor, I might be able to find a procedure later.

I'll put the latest procedure in the members resources section Richard. Unfortunately this requires removal of the headlining and some trim to access the components.

@Gioconda: I'll provide a link here when I've composed it.

Does anyone know if the citroen extended warranty covers repairing a sunroof blind cover motor not working?
