Wing mirror - C4 Grand Picasso
Hi, first time posting here as my Citroen C4 Grand Picasso Exclusive (2015) has served us well for years with few problems. My passenger side wing mirror has been stuck in the folded out position for months, when we've had it checked out the mechanic says the whole unit needs replacing (these are the same people who replaced just the folding motor on the driver's side, so I'm confident it's a bigger issue on the passenger side). We've not bothered due to cost. However today it has randomly folded back in and is now stuck there. My question is - is it possible to manually fold the mirror back out? I don't want to force it and cause damage to the car, but on the other hand the unit is broken anyway and I just want a wing mirror that is open. Any advice welcome!

When you say stuck, I take it you mean it doesn't respond to the closing switch on your door panel?

Thanks for your reply. I mean it doesn't fold out when opening the car with the fob.

You should be able to twist it by hand to the open position unless something major has snapped inside.

Thanks for your replies. I was able, with only fairly gentle pressure, to manually reopen the wing mirror - and it didn't sound like anything broke in the process! Thanks for the reassurance.
