Replaced "Turbo pressure valve" - does it require calibration ?

Unread post by gibman »

hi.

VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
1.6 bluehdi, 120hp.
Citroen C4 gr. picasso, 2015.

I have replaced the turbocharger pressure valve with this one:
https://nap.dk/ladetryksstyring-turbola ... 02300.04.0

Although now I have a very rough idle.
If I put back the original part then IDLE is ok again.
fun fact: the original part on the engine is a Pierburg branded valve also.

Maybe it needs calibration in diagbox ?
If yes. Is this doable ?
I should mention I have a working diagbox setup.

more context;
I replaced the pressure valve as I had a periodic issue with these faultcodes:
P1496 00
P2563 00

I'm afraid I have not found any information on this but hopefully someone who knows will see your post and let you know! Sorry! :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I am fairly sure that the valve is continuously calibrated by the ECU measuring the boost pressure, no manual calibration required.

I suspect that your new valve is incompatible or faulty. My understanding is that on HDI engines, there is no boost at idle, and no vacuum from the control valve at idle.
