My drivers head light is sometimes flickering. Will it be the bulb or the ballast?

Has anyone used the cheap bulbs from ebay or is it best to pay £70 for a pair of Phillips bulbs?

I have some more problems with my 2006 c5 2.0hdi
On my way home tonight a message came up on my dash display to say that the particle filter level is low on looking through this site I have read some scary stuff on particle filters,can anyone shed some light on this message for me?

Since I bought my Xantia ( 2.0 16 v Automatic , power steering ) I have the feeling that the steering is a bit loose. Any hole on the road deflects the steering wheel a bit. I don’t know if that’s normal or not. I also have a C4 at which the steering feels more solid

My new c5 started a knocking noise after ahout 5 minutes left running while stationary.

I had just fixed up the side undertrays so wondering if it is something to do with that. Noise travellibg but it was knocking and when I lifted the hood it was louder.

Any ideas?

Had the Xantia parked over the pit for a few minutes today, while I was shuffling cars.
I decided to have a peep, with a view to possibly fitting a towbar, at some point.
I wasn't impressed with what I saw. There's some nasty looking rust under the back of the boot, completely hidden by the back bumper.

I have Xantia MK1 2.0i 8v non hydractive and the front struts is leaking from the top. I found a seller who has pair of front struts taken from Xantia MK1 1.6i.
I know they have different part number where mine are 5271-61 and 5271-71 and the 1.6i are 5271-E7 and 5271-E8.

I am just wondering if I can use the struts from 1.6i to mine?

I've recently started getting warning messages saying engine coolant temperature too high along with the big red STOP message on the dash, it lasts for a couple of seconds and then goes out, it then re-appears almost immediately and goes away again. On my 2003 Citroen C5 HDi 2.2, I have been having a strange problem that the Citroen specialist is having trouble diagnosing. When I turn the key, the starting motor goes plunk (quietly) but does not turn over. The computer screen says Put the gear lever in Park , but of course I have. Aware the Hdi's run cold, but there's cold and COLD.

Even after car's been used for 30 mins plus, the temp gauge never seems to go above 60oC.

Changing the themostat at the weekend, just wondered if anyone has any other ideas.

Hi all I have a petrol citroen 2005 I have had 3 different people put the diganostics on it and it's showing up coil pack I have changed it 3 times but the anti pollution fault keeps coming on and It cuts outs when driving. How ever i dont have a wheel lock nut thingy to remove the lock nuts..

Citrion said they want 50 plus vat for it....

Hi all been a while, about to change a timing belt on the above engine, the engine has an adjustable cam sprocket (3 bolt type) the BOL says these three bolts need to be loosened and the pulley rotated prior to fitting the belt.

My question is why is this necessary, I can't see the purpose!

I bought a 2003 C5 (2.0 Hdi with auto box) with about 100k on the clock for my sister about 3 months ago.

She has recently complained of a foul burning smell that only seems to happen when the heating is set to warm / hot. All oil and water levels etc are all as they should be.

On closer inspection there seems to be black goo dripping...

I have a citroen jumpy 2003 2.0HDI RHZ 110hp. One morning some days ago the car didnt want to start.

First thing i did was to diagnose it with peugeot planet but the ecu does not respond. All the modules(extra heater, bsi and alarm gives the fault code that the engine ecu does not respond).

Is there some relay or fuse for the ecu? I...

Take the car out for it's first real run since we bought it ( 53 2.0. hdi Xsara Picasso ) and as soon as I started her I got the CEL on 3 beeps and a message in the dash saying engine fault.
I have replaced the MAF and didn't have the light on before or after.
