Hiya,
sorry if this has been covered before, I've searched the forum and not found an answer.
I have a mk1 2.0HDi Exclusive estate and the rear wiper has started behaving strangley.
At first it was that after using the rear washer the rear wiper would continue to intermitantly wipe even though the switch was off.
Now though it just decides to start wiping sometimes for no reason at all.
Any ideas?

If speed kills, buy a 2CV and live forever.
Re: C5 rear wiper
Almost for sure the switch behind steering wheel (COM) is damaged. It is very fragile and breaks internally and/or its copper paths easily get worn out. Probably it was reason of its modification during lifting (in Mk II rear wiper knob is no longer at the very end of lever). Try to pull out trip/board computer switch and disassemble lever end. It is very easy and self explanatory after removing that button, but watch out for small flying springs and balls.
