Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Car is sitting a little lower on the drivers side so I jack her up to have a look. Front shocks need replaced, new drop links (I can never get them off again). Front pads well worn and a bad mark on the drivers disc so they all need replacing too. I went on mister auto to order some of the parts as they claim to offer free postage if the order is...

I was astounded yesterday when out collecting supplies to come across a pony and trap driving down a B road with two very young, 7-10, year old boys aboard. Can any of you computer gurus help? When I try to opening emails, particularly FCF ones, if I can click on them within a second or so of them arriving on the screen they open OK, more than a couple of seconds and the screen remains blank but the Google Chrome icon starts flashing and if I click on it sometimes the mail will open, sometimes...

Better fuel economy, definately better performance. However you could argue they're less reliable as failures have cropped up with low and high pressure pumps. The engine itself seems to be just as good.

I have reasonable protection. Work has provided me with nitrile gloves, and I have facial protection as well. At least I am able to do something. I have spent too much of my working life unemployed, and I hated it. I am glad to be of use, even if I am only doing a tiny part.

I have been doing some research and I gather you can make a live windows USB using windows 8 that will run on any computer. I have never used windows 8 I assume it's worse than 7 and better than 10?
It struck me that maybe a live USB would run diagnostic software from a windows install rather than using a virtual machine. Have any of you guys...

I wonder if anybody can help, I'm trying to locate the 'curly wurly hydraulic pipe: Part number is 5270QK, for a mk1 C5 2001.
I've tried the usual avenues... Dealer - eurocarcare - plaides - breakers.
Citroen has confirmed that production of this pipe has been discontinued.
So if anyone can help I'd be very grateful.

I know of somebody who used a coke can when they needed to create a 'spring' pipe, and it was still working well five years later. They measured off enough pipe for five turns around the can, and were careful not to kink the pipe.

Ford dealer who seems to have been there forever has, I'm told, gone broke this weekend. :(

Just been hearing more about this, the dealer hasn't gone broke, Ford are removing the franchise from all the smaller businesses and without it it's decided to close down mid November, the site is leasehold from a former car dealer who still owns a large area of the town's property.

Apparently a tyre supplier is moving in from its current site...

On my visit to Cirencester yesterday, the people we were visiting have a blue S suffix MG Midget on their front garden, they bought it, I think, about 18 months ago on a whim.

It's very tidy and a good runner but the idea of the 'wind in the hair' trips novelty has worn off so it might be for sale now so it's not moved for quite a while.

Got an Email from Hermes yesterday Your parcel was delivered and signed for at 4-49 today, has a tracking number, no parcel and I wasn't expecting one.

Got onto their website, what a bloody nightmare!.

The only help available is a robot set to answer pre-set questions and nowt else.

hi all, after many years with my trusty little oil-free 6L SIP (used for many engine rebuilds and so on) i have upgraded somewhat to a 50L SIP.

Apart from spraying, and using blown-air, what do you use your compressor for? In this time of cordless, what air tools couldn't/wouldn't you do without?

Regarding blasting, a 50l's debit would probably be fine with a gravity fed system that holds about 1 litre of media. If you want to do your beams....it's a diesel powered tow behind, how do I know....

So, i just bought my Second Citroen C5 x7.
My first was a 2011 2.0 140hp seduction model, manual gearbox sedan.

The second and current is a 2012 2.2 204hp Exclusive automatic with all the bells and whistles, massage, electric hatch, cornering bi-xenon headlamps and on and on.

79k miles (127k KM).

Original rack failed at about 40k miles, was replaced with a new Genuine one by Citroen under warranty and at 20k miles later that failed:

So that's 2 brand new OEM Citroen ones and I'm now on a refurbished and treated replacement, as I was not going to cough up another £2k plus fitting for another OEM failure of a rack!...
