Oh, joy of joys - I've been on 2 of those. Really depends who you get running it on the day - the first one I went on was dull as ditch water, the second one was far better as it was a bit more interactive and the materials were slightly updated.... not from the 70s

I remember the 1947 snow it war two feet deep in our road in Birmingham but we also had a coal shortage.
Our house was heated with a single small grate in the front room...........it was bloody cold, we kids made peep holes in the ice inside the windows using a warm penny.

My first heavy winter was 62 - 63. Loads of snow everywhere. Once when I was walking across the fields to see whether the pond there had frozen enough to bear my weight I suddenly disappeared into the snow so that the surface was above my head. I had inadvertently fallen into one of the dips in the field that had filled up with snow when the wind had caused it to drift. It was quite a shock but I managed to get out (obviously).

The other thing I remember is that many trains were cancelled. I was particularly annoyed about this as it meant that my comics didn't get through to me. How dare they!
