Hi guys, I have the above car and it has developed this issue very recently.
First start of the day it has a lumpy idle. After that it runs fine. No loss of power or anything.
I have stuck an egr blank in to test, but its still doing it.
Any ideas?
I will scan it again with planet to check, but last time I did it had no codes that might help...

Hi. Each time I reach over 3000 RPM (usually at 5th gear, never tried it on lower gears) I smell a burning smell. Something like burning rubber or plastic. I tried replacing the engine oil. To no avail. What could emit such smell? Thanks in advance for help. :)

I wondered if this was urgent and I should replace as soon as possible or run the car until it is a convenient time to replace it...like after Chrismas.

For a while now, when I put it in reverse, the warning light on the rear fog switch comes on dimly. Didn't think much of it, but today it took a further turn.

Hi Gents, picked up a very cheap 2003 2.0 hdi auto pug. The chap I bought it from said there were some gearbox issues. I've done two flushes of the box to spec. The car drives ok. I took it on the motorway and at 70 it's revving at 3000/3200 rpm which seems high. Ocassionally the gear changes seem erratic.

Hi i own a Peugeot 207 1.4 16v 89k miles, i have only owned it 2 months. I am getting a rattle/noise when i change gear and then begin accelerating again. I dont think its directly related to changing gear because it does it if you just accelerate from low revs. How i would describe it is a kind of metallic rattle. I can hear it with the window...

Just pressed one of these into service as a daily. Got it for nothing, only owes me £120 so far to put it on the road!

Couple of questions though:

Firstly, how hot are they supposed to run? It'll get to 90deg C in traffic and stationary no problem, fan cuts in and out etc., but on the move it cools down to around 75deg C - no where near halfway...
