My car is a Peugeot 306, 1.6, gasoline, year 2000.
My car doesn't start and after checking everyting else we came to a conclussion it's something related with my ECU.

I remember I had problems with my battery a few months ago so apparently that could damage the ECU.
I already located my ECU, the problem is that I can't change that to a new one or...

Also, I bought an ODB2 to make a diagnosis looking for errors using the app Torque Pro and it wasn't able to find a single error. Everything was fine.

Morning all,
I was having trouble with black smoke and accompanying knock on my 1.9td engine (2002).
I managed to to turn the injector pump a millimetre or two (after a struggle with the bottom of the three fixing bolts!)
This has cured the black smoke problem .....but it still has a slight knock to it...the engine only has about 24,000 miles on...

Following on from my minor inccident with my 807 coil springs, i thought i would go ahead and change both front wishbones, a reasonably safe job compared to nasty coil springs.

Yes it should, The ECU being locked only prevents starting. No communication with the ECU (assuming you diag kit is working correctly) is often a sign of it not being powered up.

I've been getting this annoying message everytime i start the 607 about automatic headlight adjustment. I've pull the codes and tried everything i could think off. The sensor is working i've used an multimeter and between pins is changes ohms when i move the arm, check every cable i could see. With peugeot planet i can see it is not registering...

Fortunately this shouldn't be a big issue. Just the matter of finding the sensor to replace this one. After that you certainly you have to reprogram it knowing the French technology and hope it's accepted. Let us know when you will get it done :)

I'm trying to fit cruise control to a 2007 1.4 16v KFU engine non vvt..

I can access the engine ecu with diagbox.. Pp2000 won't access it.. I've switched cruise on in the bsi but when I change the engine ecu to cruise present it won't program and says programming failed. The clutch switch is present. Am I missing something or will it not do it....

Thank you Richard. The solenoid I have identified and removed (and managed to break the plastic male connector) was indeed below the turbo in front of the oil filter housing.
I opened the solenoid up and didn't have a filter instead it had a spring and sensor-like metal rod.

I have an outstanding lead coming from the flywheel sensor and can't for the life of me find out where it plugs in. :oops: :oops: :oops:
It's brown/orange with three pins inside....it's on quite a long cable.

I have had a new Fap tank fitted,which has been reconfigured i was still showing a fault and engine warning light and engine management light was coming on and off. Warning light was always on.
I went back and got the pipe from the fap tank from the fuel tank replaced also now.

Restoring a forklift that uses a XUD 7 or 9 engine.

I see there are 2 pin and 3 pin variants of the oil level sensor and I understand that it also provides Oil Temp as well.

So which version of this sensor has the temperature ability ?

That is the engine oil level probe. On many XUD engines the oil temperature sending sensor was attached to the oil sump and then there was the oil pressure sensor separate again. So what you have there is likely the oil level probe.

I have a loved Peugeot 205 1.7 Diesel MkII from 1995 and after sucking in some air through a leak in the fuel filter housing developed a small drip on the fuel injector pump.

Does anyone know if I can just unscrew this bolt on the bottom of the injector pump from where I see the drip coming and replace the seal on it, and would that work...

Clyde, you are right that the pump can be removed without disturbing the timing or cambelt but just for a basic reseal there is no need to :)

Peugeot Boxer 2017 injector issue p009392

Hello all !

Can someone please help me with this issue :
Engine management goes on , service says its P3035 (1 injector faulty ) .
In the meantime the van drive , until 2 days a go the DPF comes on , the van its not making the complete process off DPF regeneration . (Probably because of engine management still on ) .
Service is changing...

I'd open the ECU casing & have a look inside for any visible burning, if there is none visible there may be a chance of getting it repaired.
Normally on modern PSA cars the BSI, ECU & key are a matched set so using a second hand ECU wont work unless you have the full set but something makes me think on the DW8 engine one of them is not coded to...

Hi All

The wife's 5008 2011 1.6 HDI 112 EGS has twice now dropped a cylinder (running on three), bringing up engine fault & antipollution fault , Green flag have plugged it in and come up with Cylinder No1 combustion fault, both times it has later cleared and run fine.

Its looking like it. If you are able to it may be worth swapping no 1 injector with another one to see if the fault moves with the injector to confirm its not a wiring or ECU fault.

cooling fan won't shut off

Hello,

Peugeot 508 , 1.6 thp. 156 bhp

The cooling fan won't shut off after a drive (I disconnect the battery for it to stop). it is not the usual 1-2 min idle work after a drive. it also kicks in very early after starting the motor.

engine coolant temp. run low (about 73C, instead of 93C). no faults found on my computer scan.

any ideas?

I've got a really strange new problem with my Peugeot 207cc 2008 1.6 VTi car's central lock system, wondering if anyone had the same issue.

Whenever I lock the car (no matter if I use the key or the fob), everything works fine for about an hour (car unlocks fine with the fob/key).

I would suggest a diagnostic using Diagbox if possible. That should reveal any logged faults in the system that may be causing a problem.

Peugeot T9 clunking noise

2015 Peugeot T9 has a clunking noise from P/S/F area.

Only seems to happen from a standing start like waiting at lights as soon as you come off the clutch on to the accelerator.

The noise doesn’t appear to happen when going over speed bumps etc, you can intermittently hear the noise when the car is slowing down in gear.

My son has purchased said car with 1.2 Puretech motor. It is a 2014 model. The engine was replaced by seller as the timing belt snapped with inevitable consequences. He wants to know when the engine of the donor car was built. Can the engine number XT 180013859 provide date of construction.

Hello people.. I have a 2007 307hdi the 136 Bhp. I'm getting a pretty loudish tapping noise when driving/accelerating at first I thought it was the lifters as it's like a tappet sound. But it does not do it when in neutral or when the clutch is pressed... I thought it may have been the flywheel etc but there is no judder etc on clutch pedal and...

Hi just taken out my drivers seat on my 206 2004 because it was not locking on one side when moving back and forward. I found this piece in the runner ( picture below) it looks intact but I don't know how it fits can anyone help. Thanks for looking. Screenshot_20210109_192252.jpg

I can only think that it may be off the side of the seat rails - where the grab bar is lifted to slide the seat back - if you follow the bar under the seat it will attach to each side of the rails. There does seem to be some sort of attachment mechanism but the available images are too small to match it to the picture.

I have a suspension noise that is driving me nuts… It sounds like part of a broken spring scraping against the other part. Only happens when turning the wheels, especially when turning slowly. The sound comes from the top of the passenger side strut.

Van is running all though sounds like a bag of spanners. Was running perfectly fine and thing started to make a horrible sound like if I left my spanners in the rocker cover.

I cant find the pin to hole to lock the crank, When i fitted the timing belt i pined the cam and fuel pump but i just used the key and the square on the engine...

Hi all my Peugeot 206 16v gti 2ltr start but does not want to idle so i spayed carb cleaner in the throttle and problem was solved for one drive but the same problem comes up .
Car starts but does not want idle .

Most likley a sticking idle stepper motor. Remove it & clean it but do not move the plunger by hand. Also properly clean the housing it sits in. Once you have cleaned & re fitted switch the ignition on & wait 30 seconds then switch of for 30 seconds, repeat this 5 times then start the engine.
