Which Clutch Kit to choose for 3008

Post by EternalParsley »

Hello Good people,

I was wondering could someone help me out here, clutch in my 2010 Peugeot 3008 died yesterday...

I was quoted that the new clutch kit will cost me 735 euro and an additional 200 for the work.

I spend some time online and I found Clutch kits that are much much cheaper than what shop quoted me. I managed to narrow down my selection to 2x options either:

LuK 600 0297 00 Clutch Kit: https://www.car-parts.ie/car-parts/luk/p-13766317

or

LuK 600 0300 00 Clutch Kit: https://www.car-parts.ie/car-parts/luk/p-14356779

These kits are identical except "Central Slave Cylinder, clutch" is there any way to find out which one I need without actually taking the gearbox apart and looking inside?

Thank you in advance for any help.

You need to post your VIN here. It'll be masked by the forum software so you're secure doing that.

EDIT
Ha ha, you added it to your post in the time it took me to make my post!

Ok, so here you go:

You have 2 options from Peugeot:

OEM Peugeot New Kit: Part 2052X5 £374.69
OEM Service Exchange Kit: Part 2051Y8 £200.00

Similarly for the thrust bearing item (3):
New Peugeot OEM Part 204195 £124.67
Cheaper version offered by Peugeot 1666662980 £123.13

All prices UK VAT inclusive as of today.

Don't forget you'll need a centring tool and adaptor to fit it properly.

You didn't ask about the Dual Mass Flywheel which it is recommended you do at the same time as the clutch:

Original New: Part 0532Q4 £773.57
Exchange: 1613938480 £450.90

Thank you soo much!!!!

Recording to the information you provided me LuK 600 0297 00 Clutch Kit is what I need.

LuK 510 0129 10 Central Slave Cylinder, clutch - Is an alternative to New Peugeot OEM Part 204195

LuK 623 3241 09 Clutch Kit - Is an alternative to OEM Peugeot New Kit: Part 2052X5

and the

LuK 415 0396 10 Flywheel - Is an alternative to Original New: Part 0532Q4

The whole set will cost 385 euro! That is 300 cheaper than what my local shops quoted me! I'm aware that there are not "original" parts but hey this car is already 11 years old....

It will be a concentric type thrust bearing, it has the clutch hydraulics integrated to it.

Genuine PSA clutches used to come with an alignment tool too but now you need to buy it separately.

Hi, there could you find out the part number for "Master clutch cylinder" ... That was the reason why the whole clutch went.... someone put it the wrong way... I'm having a hard time to find the spare part for it.
