The div that lives across the road from me reversed his Mon*eo estate into the side of my poor little AX. So what was a pristine 30k mile car now has a big dent in the rear quarter. I have a wierd problem, my LHM tank on my mkII Xantia is alomost empty, but, I canot find a leak or any sign of lhm fluid anywhere. No tell tale marks of fluid leaking, no drip marks, of fluid marks that have been blown when driving. I have moved the car up and down several times to get fluid moving through the system return pipes.

couple of minor problems which have raised there ugly head
first is the disply for the trip counter ,fuel consumption,etc has stuck on the trip carnt change it via the control button on steering colum,used to work fine
outside temp is now reading 36 ,i take it the fault is the sensor in the mirror

Just had my rear suspension arm bearings replaced by my local garage (too cold and wet to do it myself!!).

Job went ok, they de-pressurised the system at front and rear vent points, did one side at a time so no need to fully remove the anti roll bar or disturb the rear height sensor.

Looks like the seal has gone on the brake valve on my Sister's Xantia. Anyone remember how to change it? ISTR that it can be done by 'just' undoing the valve mounts, and then there's enough room to get the seal out. Is it just a push fit in the end of the valve? Bought some spark plugs as car stutters a bit when cold and under load in low gear. Fine a higher speeds.

Just looked under the bonnet for what I thought would be a quickish job. Where are they hiding and what needs to be removed to change them. Car is a C5 1.8LX.

My front HC never worked properly from the time I got the car ( a good 6 months ago), causing the front to ride high and for it not to come back down again from the high setting on the lever unless you went right down to low and then back up again. A good exterior clean/free-off and hydraflush and new LHM has finally got it working properly again...

I have just had to fork out £120 for a rubber pipe from main dealers.
After 3 hours I am totally googled out and flabbergasted...it's just a rad cap for goodness sake...( sorry for rant ).

My Mk1 V6 (hydroactive II) has got a small LHM leak. It has lost about 300ml in 2 months.

A lady friend of mine has a problem with starting her Xsara 1.6 from cold or should i say keeping it going.

Sounds very much like the cold start isn't working and it needs plenty of throttle to stop it from stalling.

Any ideas? I know details are a little sketchy but any help is appreciated.

There have been several changes noted by different part numbers..

Non-Hydractive: Up to RPO 8208 (early 1999?), then from 8209 through 8518, then one afterwards until cessation of the model.

Hydractive: Up to RPO 8056 (late 1998?) then another P/N until cessation.
