C15 preheat noises.

Unread post by gnome »

Hi all, since this spell of snowy cold weather, my C15 has become a bu**er to start. The preheat has started to make a very loud clicking on preheat, and I'm resorting to using easystart to fire it up.

Any idea's ?

I kind of thought that could be the case, but the clicking noise is sooooo loud.

So's mine, but no noises as yet so I'll listen out for any such noises in the morning.

Probably the relay for the heater plugs, as Steve says.

Luckily there is very little which can go wrong with a C15! So its bound to be something fairly simple.

Just yank it and check the pins and the base contacts. could be corrosion.
Check the contacts for burning too. You could probably salvage it.
