you can quite easily convert it to electric speedo using the saxo mk1 dash pod and electric sender on the gearbox.
I believe the pin on the dash pod for the signal is on the blue plug and is pin 4.
Setting up the feeds to the plug on the gearbox is very easy as well.
I used to convert AX's in about one hour, all in.

Havent checked the handbrake switch, IIRC it seems to be ok visually ie light comes on when handbrake applied. Havent got CC. Will clear faults tomorrow and see if anything reappears.
In the meantime will look for a guide on using Lexia. Would be good to check a few things.....First up will be the TPS. Throttle is quite stiff and doesnt seem to do...

i just had another look on service citroen, and although the oil back harness i am selling does not show with your chassis No.

it seems very strange as in the suspension parts list under your chassis No. it shows part No.s for hydractive suspension,

but in the characteristics list i pm'ed to you,

it says your car is without hydractive...

The 2.1 was altinator adjustment, UNTILL 1997 when Anti Sink was Fitted and the Xantia 6+2 pump was fitted.

The 2.5 TD XM was fitted with the Xantia 6+2 and anti sink from the start and introduced in 1995, and uses the Xantia type tensioner.

Theres been a few different setups on the XM, not as simple as Xantias...

I borrowed a friends garage ramp when I changed the guides on mine. You dont have to remove the exhaust / heatshield, its fiddly but you only need to slacken off two bolts, lower the cross member that in turns allows you to move the heat shield a bit allowing just enough room to remove and replace the guide tubes. I did it after reading on this...

I had a related problem with mine, it would suddenly cut out with the stop light on always when going down hill, it would start again after a few minutes and drive quite happily, I suspected low oil level but didn't know there was a sensor that caused the engine to cut out but there apparently is, the oil i was a little low and the low oil warning...

Can someone confirm that N/S/F wings and lights are NOT the same for S1 & S2 cars but are the same for all S2 variants?

Any version of Lexia should work no problem with a Dispatch, firstly check there is 12v at the diagnostic socket & check all the fuses. Inside and under bonnet.
Does the engine management light illuminate when you turn the ignition on ? Will it talk to any of the ECU's at all ?
Are you able to try your Lexia on another van ?

Yep , physically broken.

The plastic block that pokes through the steering wheel and turns with the wheel was broken.

More than likely that when it had a bump the airbag went off and the previous owner replaced the whole steering wheel in a hamfisted manner.

Can't tell you what the original sealant was or if it was silicone based, if it was you must use silicone again.
In the event the surfaces are not contaminated with it the best sealant by far is called CT1, it has many uses and can even be applied to wet surfaces and underwater. A very useful solvent called multi solve is available alongside too...

thinking of Fospro on fuses but still think battery is culprit.If it is the fuse then the mighty C5 dies due to a pence worth of eqpt which is a shame as I totally rated the car for drive, comfort and looks.

Not totally relevant but my drivers door lock became a bit difficult to get the key in after the recent heavy rain. Gave it a good dose of plus gas yesterday and it made it worse if anything. Gave it a good squirt of silicone grease today and is now working perfectly.
