Dispatch Lexia Query

Post by Andy Dispatch »

Hello all,

Been having some problems with my 2001 1.9 Dispatch and wondering if anyone could help out! The van has an intermittent high idle when hot which led me to get a diagnostics cable and install Lexia 3 to try and diagnose but I have come across a couple of problems.

The first is that there is no 'Dispatch' model in the vehicle selection screen, does this mean they are not supported/dont have an ECU? Tried to use the 'Jumpy' selection which did actually label it is as a Dispatch in the report but still seems odd. Anyway I manage to get to the Global Test/Individual Test Screen but it wont talk to the van, get the 'no dialogue with ECU' error. I have checked connections and assume software is installed correctly (seems to behave as expected) but wanted to know if anyone has experience of using Lexia with a Dispatch of this age? Would installing Diagbox be a good idea? Assume from the age of the van that an old version of Lexia shoud be sufficient.

Any advice would be most appreciated!

Any version of Lexia should work no problem with a Dispatch, firstly check there is 12v at the diagnostic socket & check all the fuses. Inside and under bonnet.
Does the engine management light illuminate when you turn the ignition on ? Will it talk to any of the ECU's at all ?
Are you able to try your Lexia on another van ?
