how to change a light bulb - a dummy asking

Can you please help me because I cant figure out how to open the interior lamp cover on the central pillar of my Xantia. Tried prying it out but didnt want to use too much force that might break it.

They hang on tightly. Use a narrow blade at the top corners, as this is where the spring clips are. The unit will then pivot out. IIRC the bulbs are 5W5 (same as the side lights).

By the way, you are NOT a dummy. A dummy would have tried so hard that they either would have got lucky, or broken it. An INTELLIGENT person knows when to stop, back off, and ask for help.

Well, I was just on the forum. By the way, the bulbs are W5W (not 5W5 as in my previous post, Still I was close).

I had to sort out one of Gracies' recently, which is why I remembered.
