After weeks of being unable to access mode due to ambient conditions I am told that maybe one of the 12v batteries needed to be fully charged.

Can anyone tell me where the second battery is located? The one in the engine compartment is showing 12.67 volts without dropping.

Just changed to track rod end due to an advisory and went to have the tracking done. 'Waste of time mate' was the response once the car was in the air and he'd gone round all corners checking for free play.
There is play in the front right hand track rod to steering column. The same corner as the track rod end was changed, so it must have masked...
