Peugeot Partner Dangel service manuals

Unread post by iggz »

Hello everyone.

I am trying to fix my 2010 Peugeot partner Dangel. It is a bit tired and I think I have to service the entire drivetrain.

Are there any service manuals for Dangel drivetrains? I am trying to fix it at dealership, but those guys openly admitted they do not know how it works and we can't even agree on basic components in the drivetrain.

Have called several dealerships and they all said they are not familiar with these cars and will learn on it if I bring it in for repairs.

Please help me repair the car, it is really rare machine and very capable.

Regards,

Maybe you should contact Dangel directly for a service manual?

I believe that they were sold through PSA dealers, so maybe Peugeot have official documentation, but wouldn't bet on it.

I managed to get this through other channels. The ones on Dangel page I already went through and there is very basic info, not even part list.

What I don't like on my Partner is that when I switch to 4WD-auto, I can feel and hear the drivetrain above 50km/h. My dealer claims this is normal, due to binding between the front and the rear axle. I don't think this should be the case, as the hydraulic coupler should connect the front and rear axle only when the RPM is mismatched several percent.

Also the drive to the rear axle will disconnect only at very low speed, almost stopped or when vehicle is stopped. I can feel the drive being disconnected too.

I have all these questions and dealers are not able to work with this car, they are very exotic.

Hi Iggz,

I know it’s been a year since you posted but I have a Peugeot Expert converted by Dangel. I have the same problem above 50kmph, a sort of droning noise. Mine seems to be stuck in 4wd mode permanently.

Did you have any luck fixing your problems?

Hello.

No notification through email? Weird.

Anyway, the Dangel 4WD are not at all gentle, I was told that this noise is normal. So basically this 4WD is better used at low speed, as there is considerable noise coming from it.

For the thing being stuck in 4WD, maybe one of the solenoids is broken? I have 4 solenoids as I have 4WD + rear differential lock. There are 4 solenoids as the system uses 2 solenoids per function. One pushes to engage the function, the other pulls to disengage the function. Seems the solenoid that disengages is broken? The issue is I would expect there to be a spring that would disengage the 4WD even if the solenoid fails. Truth be told, mine is slow to disengage too and sometimes I have to stop the car or almost stop the car for it to disengage.

If you need solenoid, it is a EATON unit (made in Monaco!). FIAT uses it too for their Ducato, somewhere in the emission control circuit. Part number for solenoid valve is: EATON 1951150 or FIAT 9631929980.

Let me know how it goes. But remeber, I am not getting any notifications :)

Contacting Dangel is like talking to a wall.

My local Peugeot is even worse.

Heck, even the main Peugeot importer is not responding.

If there is no money, they will do absolutely nothing. Plus when they try to do something it goes horribly wrong as they are imbeciles. :-D

So Peugeot is the best car in the world. Gets zero service and still somehow works.
