Hi all, I have posted this problem before but am still no clearer. I have a 1.9 2005 C15 that has had a variety of issues, which now are mostly sorted. The only problem I have now is that I have had to replace a diode that I discovered in amongst a load of wires under the air filter. I knew that the diode was a 1N4007 diode but I am confused about...

Any ideas why when I get in my car in this damp cold weather my screen is so misted up on the inside?

Pollen filter not to old, no water leaking in the car and aircon works fine. Should I be doing something when parked up like leave recirculation on or switch off ac a few mins before parking up.

Hi, I have the above motor bought from a friend as a non runner. He's had poor starting for a while, but now it won't start. The RAC man says it's the High Pressure pump. Before I replace this I am checking other options to clarify.

Going by your experience and Citroen car making history, are spare parts easily obtainable then? What are the parts that are likely to fall apart that I need to keep...

Our 2005 C5 estate has been fine (no symptoms of anything) until I went to start it this morning and just got a click and a muffled spinning noise, no attempt for the engine to turn over. Usually with a C5 this is the battery but I have checked the battery and its ok, its not even very old.

Watched a C5 Tourer 2.0 HDI 160 VTR+ go through this morning, metallic grey, 100k on the clock, warranted miles with full mechanical print out, 59 plate, looked the business. £3300 + fees taking it up to around £3700. On a Xsara (Phase 1), if you do a complete engine swap or injection pump change, then your ignition key will show an error and you pump will not work.

If you have a Lexia and the 4 digit code specific to your car (from Citroen), then can you re-code your pump or ignition key ?

Hello! I'm considering buying a Xantia V6 Activa modell year 2000. Is there anything special I should look for? I'm pretty common with Xantia but Activa is something new to me.

Last few days the xant has had a few issues when left over night or when the engines cooled down, it starts on the button but idles very rough and lots of grey smoke, idle and smoke resumes to normal after 15 seconds or so! Renewed leak off pipes and blanking plug but still the same, suspected glow plugs but it starts...

Looked a bit closer at the HDi90 thats in for breaking... Its one of the odd batch of cars with the larger unions on 3.5mm pipes At the STRUT end only from the looks of it..

This is all I can offer at the moment..

After thousands of trouble free miles everything is going wrong at once, the latest is that it is indicating that the tailgate is open and as a result it seems the central locking isn't working, it locks and then unlocks. I have had the lock out and there is a micro switch on it which I assume gives the open/closed signal, the switch is working...

Drove a friends C5 last weekend and felt that the drive was more comfortable. The other difference I noted is that my C5 sits lower especially on the front. Both C5 Exclusive's 2008 and 2009 models with hydractive 3.

Wierd one this

If i leave the car overnight and jump in first thing of the morning the fans work fine.

If i stop car and try them again they light up on the console but no fans then the fan icon ghosts out.

I have replaced the thingy down by the clutch pedal as thought that might be playing up..

Would a power down of the ECU sort out this...

Hi all. I've converted my 1954 H van from 6volts to 12 volts, new alternator, lamps, coil etc. Plus new 12volt starter solenoid. My problem is that there is a direct live to earth at the coil. So when I push the starter button, the fuse blows. I have traced this to the coil side of life.
Put a meter on the neg side of the coil & to earth & open...

Has anyone used or know of one around the Manchester/Warrington areas at all??
