Does anybody know where I will find this fuse (LH Side and Tail Light). Handbook makes no mention. Haynes manual refers to fuse 22, but the layout in the manual is entirely different to the layout of either fuse box in my car (engine bay or glove box). I could start removing one by one until I find it, but am concerned I may affect...

Hi all, I have a diesel smell when starting, I can't see any leaks though, any obvious places? Seems to smell around the fuel filter but everything seems dry!

OK I have the mot in a couple of months so need to start thinking about this. I have a Citroen Series 2 Xantia 110 HDI I am thinking about changing it for a C5 which is on Auto Trader its 2.0ltr Hdi 16valve VTR on a 56 plate 40,800 miles £4,250.139 miles from me I tow a caravan and the Xantia is a great tow car but I dont know about the C5 what do you think.

My son's C5 VTR 05 flattened its battery over the weekend. The weight of snow that accumulated on it apparently made the car keep moving to balance itself, and as he never used the car all weekend, there was not enough in the battery to start the engine. He has noticed that the car moves of its own accord, settling down , even when the key is out...

On the way to work this morning, and the charging light came on on the Xantia. D'oh. Clearly not charging as he lights were dim and wipers slow. I recently changed my 1.9td for a newer HDI. The clutch on the td was a bit heavy and juddered quite badly so it's an absolute pleasure to use the very smooth and light clutch in the HDI.

I'd say it'd be quite handy to have about - if only to get a better idea of how it all worked :twisted:. Checked my BoL and predictably it doesn't have one.

Got a c5 2.0 hdi 2002 to play with AA diagnosed as low pressure pump failure i have diagnosed bad pump circuit.

I have spotted a few references to on board computers giving fuel consumption figures etc on Xantias and they are often advertised as a feature. I haven't found one on my HDI exclusive mk2 and yes I have RTFH.
Can anyone throw any light on this? Were they a cost option or standard on some models only?

However, I have my first request for help already as I've ordered a workshop manual, which is yet to arrive and I'm looking to get started on the van by changing the oil, filter + sump plug, but I was wondering...

In the photo below there's an aircon flap motor with a long splined shaft.

The standard motor is the one on the right which has a short spline.

The motor with the long spline is a mod and can be fitted if the splined hole in the flap chews up and the flap stops working.

So, does anyone know where the long spline version can be purchased....

I have a fuel leak on my Xsara Picasso 2.0 2004 diesel :cry: . On the pump at the bottom sort of at the front there is a cover with 4 T40 torx screws. The diesel is flowing from this interface when running.

Can I just remove this cover and re-seal?

If so can it be done without removing the fuel pump. If I do have to remove the fuel pump...

My Xantia has an annoying problem with the heater, it's either a furnace at 30 degrees or blowing cold a couple of notches down with no in between. Is there an easy fix or do I need to attack the dashboard with torx bits? 8-[

Aware the engines are very thermal efficient, hence why I want to get the Eberspacher thingy working, however what temp should the car get to? Just wondered if I have a faulty thermostat.

Temp does not seem to go above 75 degrees, ie does even not reach half way, normally about a third of the way up.
