What product can be added to address excessive engine oil consumption in the Citroën C5 Aircross by removing carbon deposits and thereby alleviating the issue?

I am trying to get my Citroen K9 EAT8 gearbox in neutral so I can get it recovered. I have removed all three bolts on the TCM and disconnected the terminal block but it seems reluctant to lift off. Any thoughts appreciated!

I am actually removing the upper cam blocks to re-seal. What a job. On top of which the timing belt idler has been leaking grease so quite a clean up to do. Definitely puzzled over these as can't find any removal/install instructions online. They are part number 0805F9 Delphi with 4no. 5 star security fixings, a hex key cover in the center...

Hello,

I'm new here, I own Opel Corsa F, 2021. Engine inside is 1.5blueHDI diesel. I bought it second hand in november last year.
I know all about the timing chain issues. I replaced the chain in january this year and it's been about 20 000km from then. I've heard something rattling inside the engine 3 times in the last month or two. I have a...

Hello guys,

I have a 2009 C4 Grand Picasso Exclusive with (what I think) is a weird issue.
The rear cabin air fans (the ones underneath the driver and passenger seats) are not working. Lexia diagnostic tool doesn't see any issues or errors with them, it runs successfully through the tests of both rear left and right fans, but the car doesn't...

Hi,
I have just replaced the two aluminium Track Control arms on the rear suspension of my C5 X7 2008 Break so I can have 4 wheel tracking done properly. It all looked so simple - Two bolts, one into a captive in the body/chassis, one to the bottom of the cast Iron hub carrier - what could be easier? What on EARTH do they put on the hub carrier...

Hi all, apologies if this is in the wrong forum but it's my first post here and I have a problem I'm struggling to solve.
I have worn rear bushes on the front lower track control arms of my 2008 C5 X7 executive estate with active suspension. I have removed the arms and have in my hand replacement FEBI 32116 bushes (they specify aluminium subframe...

Afternoon all, the next challenge in fixing my increasingly ungrateful Activa is that where the rear ram hose had rubbed itself to oblivion on a rigid high pressure line, that line appears to also have suffered... The rigid pipe in question goes to one leg of one of the K-shaped unions (of which only three legs are populated) very close to the...

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help or has experience of this.
I have a 2023 Berlingo Van - 1.5D Blue 100ps
I leased it and use it for courier deliveries, thinking lease would be more cost effective than previous owned vehicles.
Service interval was said to be 25k by the lease brokers (I understand now that it is variable depending on driving...

I was sitting idle for a while, like 20 mins, cause of some roadworks with AC on and suddenly the music froze and then the whole multimedia turned off I guess (it went black). I had it freeze before, maybe a couple times over a few years but it would usually reset itself and then work again. I let the car sit to cool off, I will check later if it...

Hi all , the fuel consumption on my 2020 relay seems a bit high so i plugged in my obd scanner and the air flow reading at 2500 rpm seems to be double of the quoted (15 to 25 g/s at 2500 RPM.).
Presumably if the meter is telling the ecu lies and saying that more air is entering than actually is , then the fuelling will be increased to match . Now...

Hi everyone, not much of a writer h*Wever , I have a citren relay 2012 i've just fitted a new engine to it.As the bottom end had gone on the old one, however, since fitting, the new engine, the imobiliser keeps disabling the vehicle if you drive for 20 minutes or so, you have no issue, however, when you come to a stop, the engine will cut out....

Hi,
I have been working on my Citroen Xsara Forte N1 1.4i Petrol year 2000 for over 6 months solving various issues, however, i have failed to get it through the emissions test. I suspected there was an issue with the ECU as now the cooling fan comes on permanently after starting the car.
I have done various checks with my multimeter and seem to...

hello people

So i installed the 18 gig download (servicebox ) containing the docbackup and sedre but i have found that for the ds5 hybrid 4 the sedre files are not accurate. Many wires are identified with NULL and i found other inconsistensies and shortcomings

Hello everyone,
I will need to replace the clutch kit, flywheel, and hydraulic bearing on my 2008 C4 Picasso 2.0 HDi together with my trusted mechanic.
I would like to ask if anyone knows in detail the steps to follow using DIAGBOX before and after the kit replacement. Is it a guided procedure in the software, or are these separate...

Just had a weird occurrence. I was coming to the end of a 30 mile round trip, when suddenly, without warning, the touch screen and dash/heads up display, all went off. It didn’t affect the driving. It all booted up again after a few seconds. But not instant pop, and all back on. It was a proper boot up. Possibly slower than when I start the car...

Hi all,

Looking for a bit of advice here regarding an intercooler pipe issue on my Citroën C5 x7 1.6 HDI.

Earlier this week, I noticed something wasn’t quite right — I was getting significant turbo lag. I’d press the throttle and the car would take a while to respond. At times, it would even shake a bit under load. My first thought was that the...

Hi everyone! First time using a forum so please forgive me if I do it wrong!

I've got a 2014 Berlingo, 1.6hdi DV6, I bought it with a fuel fault. The code was P0087, replaced the fuel rail sensor with a £13 one from ECP, made no difference. Then replaced with a £40 one as well as a fuel filter. Right as rain.

Drove 1500 miles and had a service,...

Hi everyone,
I have a Citroën C4 1.6 HDi (2008, 66 kW) with a manual gearbox. Recently I noticed a strange humming/whining noise and I’m trying to figure out where it’s coming from.

Here’s what’s happening:

When the engine is running at idle, I can hear a constant humming noise.

As soon as I press the clutch pedal – the noise disappears...

After much searching on the internet i could find very little on the subject of boost on a 2 litre Activa, be it maximum boost, when it hits full boost at low revs and how the boost modulator does its job.

This evening i plumbed in a temporary boost gauge just before the ECU.

My car is believed to be untouched in this area and the results i got...

Hi Gang

I'm having a bit of a saga with my C4GP. Having driven it home from the seller, it's not moved an inch since!

I originally thought the battery was knackered and so bought a new one in December. It wasn't delivered for 3-weeks so I refused delivery and bought one from somewhere else.

I stuck it in last night but I still have the same...

Hi all,

Had a call from a friend, the above car smokes white when first started, it then clears and runs fine for the rest of the day. After a stand of 1 or 2 nights, same thing. She went to Peugeot who have diagnosed an injector problem. 1800 euros to replace all 4. They didn't charge for the diag so she has no printout. So she's asked me for my opinion....

Hello,
Is this normal with a 1.6 HDI full of stupid things for “clean gases” DPF, Adblue, Urea? It’s normal to be so black? I know it's normal to have a smoked interior, it's a diesel, but is it normal to have the tip so black? As if it were oil? I have other vehicles, TDI, and they don't look like this.
