Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

No, not to my knowledge as the steering used is entirely electrically operated, not hydraulic and there are no settings I am aware of in Diagbox that allow this - the ECU has pre-set operational parameters. For safety reasons they probably will not be allowed to do this.

I think you are going to have to pull the head but wait until you have your VCI alternatively you could be looking at replacement engine. I spotted a small oil leak under my 2008 C4 Grand Picasso which the local garage diagnosed as a driveshaft oil seal needing replacement. They replaced it today but when they drove it out of the workshop told me they didn't know how much oil should be in the gearbox and had put a fair bit in, but let them know if it starts making any strange...

These boxes are sealed for life as stated by Citroen, but quantities of oil stated below will be for a new gearbox prior to having any oil in it. After draining, capacity will be 1.8 litres . You will have to completely drain it and refill it though, as there is no measurement check

My AX Cluster dials come on when start the engine, it doesn't come on when switch sidelight like other cars. The issue is all are tiny 1 watts bulbs, and it doesn't last very long it fused. It is hard work to remove the cluster every time, I thought change to LED it will be bright and should last longer. When I bought this LED from

The 1 watts is original, installed 2.3 Watts bulbs 💡 it looks better, I can see my mileage and the needles as well. Very pleased.

That's risky, they may run hot enough to cause serious damage to the surrounding plastics...

Not really hot to compare over the 1watts.

Hi all,
I know there is plenty of topics about immobilizer on this forum, but my situation is a little different.
I don't have immobilizer fault message, the car just doesn't start normally. It does, if you crank with dead battery, maybe some module is shutting down and not stopping the engine.
So, engine is working, but immobilizer is preventing...

hello again!

latest problem with my xsara picasso 2002 is one of the rear passenger doors wont unlock.

outer and inner door levers have no effect.

central locking device making no noise on that door when car is locked or unlocked.

tried to get to lock by removing door trim but cannot find way to release the lock... not easy working blind!...

hi all. i manged to get the door unlocked.

i cut a 36mm hole with a hole cutter drill attatchment in the door (in a place the door panel will cover) which gave me a better view of what was in there.

i then managed to break and rip off the plastic cover that fits over the lock unit. then i just flipped the little lever that unlocked the lock....

My AX is 3Bolt wheels from factory and im convert to 4, in front i put all the suspension parts for a Saxo (1.6) and the rear i dont know what drums need to use. Dont want swap all the rear.

Why do you wish to convert from three to four?

I believe four bolt Saxo rear brakes may be sufficiently similar to the AX three bolt so you might get away with just swapping over the drums - which include the hubs and bearings...

Can't guarantee this but worth a look and really, nothing to loose.

I've just started fitting a new front undertray, and when I offer it up to somewhere that looks about right, holes in the tray match up to fasteners on the body, there's a 8 gap between the back of the wings of the main engine undertray, and the first of the undertrays that runs between the sill and the exhaust tunnel. I bought the nemo a few months ago and it drove fine, it intermittently wouldn't boost which seemed to be more when it was cold, once it got up to temperature it would be fine. Hi All,
I really hope somebody can shed some light on an issue my van has. It's been going on around 18 months (15k) miles approx.
The van is fine 80% of the time, but the more eco you drive it the more frequent the juddering becomes. I've spent over £1700 on it so far and it's still not fixed it.

The numbers dont necessarily need to be an exact match, if you get one of the same age & spec as your car it should be ok.
As for the failures, one way is water ingress if the cover has not been clipped on correctly but inside there are a bunch of fixed in relays that can fail over time just like any other external relay.

Hi.
On my RHD C4 the passenger electric window works perfectly from the passanger door, but using the drivers door control it goes down about 75% of the time I tell it to go up. Would this be a new switch on drivers door required. I thought I'd ask as I currently have the door panels off to upgrade my speakers. Thanks.

Things to check:

1) The wiring through to the driver's side in the door aperture for breaks
2) The Door control panel for the windows and locking / mirrors. Sometimes the plug on the underside can work loose.
3) Try cleaning with electrical contact spray the the board once you separate the connections base from the casing.

A strange thing:

With a/c on, there is no hydraulic assistance on brakes in slow speeds (20km/h), so I have to hit the brake strongly in order to catch. Brakes are OK when speed is higher. This happens also on reverse.
With a/c off, things looking ok. The car is 2.0i exclusive and it is auto (al4).

Any ideas about this?

Ideally the brake fluid should be changed every 2 years. Make sure that you have it done properly as the system needs to be bled on both circuits - the braking system and the ABS/ ESP hydraulic block, so will take 2 people and a diagnostic tool like Lexia / Diagbox to do the Hydraulic block.

The front and rear roll control rams are fine - except for the dust covers. Both are disintegrating and the front one is completely shredded. New ones do not seem to be available - can anyone help, either with a possible supplier anywhere in Europe, or suggest a suitable alternative which can perhaps be adapted? Thanks in advance

Be warned, you will (90% chance) have to replace at least the lower bush.....(Berlingo steering ram bushes are the same) Also, take great care not to damage the top mount, that is much harder to replace (as are the feed pipes)

As my first post, I wanted to show you a little fix I did for the case of falling apart rear brake calipers on the C5.
One of the known issues for these calipers is that the hole through which goes the bolt that holds the pads in place, is too weak and falls apart with time.

Ref identical halves. I meant that you can re-configure a left hand calliper to fit on the right, and vice versa. Swapping halves of callipers from different manufacturers may not work; it would rely upon the brake fluid channel between the two halves aligning, and the oring sealing. But worth a try perhaps.

Hello,

I enjoy my C3 Picasso but have an issue with an intermittant rattle from the instrument binnicle. The state of some English roads sets it off, and it requires a firm push on the edge of the binnicle to get it to cease, but then it sometimes returns. I don't want to attempt to take it apart as knowing modern cars trim can be a real pain....

I was looking for that topic since it lists the orga numbers when the alu frames started. I think a good place for me to start is the dealer and hear if they sell separate bushings. If not then it will depend on the prices for the part.

Hi,

Looking for a bit of help.

Car is citroen DS3 1.6 diesel.
Dsport 110hp on a 2010 plate.

Mount on top of gearbox for selector cables has sheared off.

My problem is I cannot figure out how to remove the outer sheath of cables from broken bracket.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

It seems likely that the controller would be with the adblue tank in the rear of the car.Strange that the canbus should run from the BSI all the way to the rear of the car then return back to the front,on a different pair of wires to almost the same area to connect to the engine ECU .Any info very welcome before I tear more of the car apart!😀

A work colleague of my wife asked me to look at her 2016 citroen c4 as it won't start.

They were getting a top up the adblue message saying it would stop starting in so many miles, there is plenty on adblue in the tank.

They kept running the car then at 50 miles it suddenly came up saying it would no longer start at the...

Testing using diagbox didn't show up any sign of a leak so I've returned the car to it's owner and we've agreed that if no faults come up in the next couple of weeks I'll remove the tank and see if there's anymore sign of adblue in there

P1445 means the computer thinks the DPF is end of life. Chances are that it is still OK pressure wise and regenerating, so you can just tell it it's been replaced and it will be happy.

Not sure about the power steering ones - you'll need to get into the live data and see if anything looks amiss - but these are electric power steering, it may well...

Going into revers is fine but you have to remember to push lift-ring down for forward gears, presumable it should return its self once it passes through neutral? I've tried lubricating it no luck, its definitely just the ring its self as disconnecting the cable makes no difference ie it still sticks in the up position How do you remove gear knob?

The problem is back, the plastic bush that fits on the top of the gear stick has developed hairline vertical cracks, presumably from expansion. Part 7 the lift ring needs to slide freely on this, presumably the expansion is causing it to stick. It looks like it might be threaded onto the gear stick, but it would not shift with reasonable force...

I have a vibration at 70mph in top gear. No other gear and not over 2500rpm in any other gear.
