Air flow meter for 2.2 blue hdi relay

Unread post by beemox »

Hi all , the fuel consumption on my 2020 relay seems a bit high so i plugged in my obd scanner and the air flow reading at 2500 rpm seems to be double of the quoted (15 to 25 g/s at 2500 RPM.).
Presumably if the meter is telling the ecu lies and saying that more air is entering than actually is , then the fuelling will be increased to match . Now I've only had this van a short while and only done 1000 miles in it and 200 miles after having changed the oil & filters the CHANGE OIL , DEGRADED message comes up . Oil level up a bit so methinks clogged dpf . New dpf now fitted and back pressure readings look ok . However this possible over fuelling might be a contributing factor for clogging the dpf perhaps ?. Air flow meter removed and cleaned bun no difference , so look for new one . The fitted on is a HITACHI AFH50M-27 , now according to ebay sellers that's not the correct part , so could it have been swapped out incorrectly and what is the correct part ?? any help please ?

Fuel consumption seems a bit high - do you have any values to give an idea of how high ? How many miles has the van done ?

Our 2.2 hdi C5 once warmed up would be about 8 g/s air flow on tick over at about 800 rpm so based on this your values could be normal so I would not be spending £100+ on a new meter yet.

When a new dpf is fitted it needs a diagnostic to tell the ecu one has been put on.
