If it's not a BlueHdi engine then both 5W30 (B71 2290) and 0W30 (B71 2312) are authorised. If it's a 1.6 BlueHdi then it's only 0W30 (B71 2312) that's authorised.

Those B71 xxxx specifications are important. If that's not on the can then avoid.

In 2024, Stellantis introduced the 5W-30 engine oil specification, FPW9.55535/03, following a recall. This new oil is now mandatory for a wide range of Stellantis engines. Previously, MPM 05000PC 0W-30 or 05000PC-FE 0W-20 was recommended for these engines, but due to the recall, the recommendation has changed to MPM 05000ST 5W-30 with the FPW9.55535/03 specification.

Stellantis has recently expanded this requirement: the 5W-30 oil with specification FPW9.55535/03 is now mandatory for all 1.2-litre PureTech EB2xxxx engines (excluding EB2LTxx) , for 2.2-litre DW10Fx engines and the 1.5 BlueHDi (DV5R) .

Please note that oil service tags or service books may still show outdated recommendations.

But the 1.6 BluHDi engines(and non BlueHDi 1.6 engines) aren't mentioned so remain as I posted.

Yes Paul this change is not valid for 1.6 BlueHdi. My mistake , sorry . But for the 1.6 BlueHDi, the Stellantis recommendation from July 2024 that you mentioned is still valid, which is 0W30 Oil B71 2312.
