Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Those things are made out here and are a fairly common mower.
Do you have a particular problem or is it that you need it for some other reason?
I can have a look around although I can't say that I've ever seen a Gregory's service manual for one of those but there could be some actual Victa info available.

Considering the 308 began life in the early 70's as the 308 dino, and was then rebodied in the 'Magnum' style body it's not done too bad over time. I've driven a 328 GTBi and whilst it was nice, some fairly ordinary scoobies would blow it away these days, but a 360 Stradale on the other hand...

I've always thought they looked as though they would be quite fun - shame about the shape and that excessively tall screen.
I don't know how the chassis withstands rust, but at least the bodywork is fibreglass.
Performance is adequate and probably a fun car on a sunny day.

Since I've had it I've fitted a NEW VALEO radiater (£100), new top hose (£37) and replaced the cylinder head with one from a PUG 405 TD.

If you can find them get the Michael Thomas tapes! There a totally different way of learning a language and much more like being in a small class of people and learning with them. My dad drives round with it playing all the time and both my mum and dad have leanrt a lot VERY quickly!
Rather than learning set pieces you learn structure and order...

I once had a Rover 600 driver trying to get me to reverse ONTO A VERY BUSY MAIN ROAD!! so that they could pass, I reversed as far as was safe and manouvred the Cit nearly into a hedge...there was now about two car widths for the Rover to get through yet they still managed to scrape their car along the wall of the opposite...

That Peter Russek manual is probably about as much use as a chocolate teapot. I have one for my Talbot express diesel, and it's a waste of paper. I might as well just guess. Looks like it has problems as well.
There is a lean on the car, back left is high looks like could be problems there!
They have added a turbo badge on to boot lid WHY!! Looks like the kind of thing a boy racer would do.

if you can get hold of a decent parts catalogue, they often quote functional dimentions of components, such as bearing diameters/thickness or track rod end taper/thread information. It often amazes me how many parts from certain cars that will fit others, the main one being clutch friction plates. All that matters is the hub diameter/splines and...

I have been looking at the highlights of the W.R.C. Corona Rally in Mexico. Well done to Sebastien Loeb, the reigning World Rally Champion for managing to make his way back up from 18th place to 4th place.
He managed to do this despite his W.R.C. Xsara having a major accident, which left the O/S/R wheel and suspension completely smashed up with...

Guys, don't open the links if you are faint of heart.
This little roach was killed when a fellow decided to inspect a sewer line in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.
Briefly after after entering the sewer, this thing bit him. He was assisted at a medical post and had 3 stitches.
The little bugger is now residing in the entomology labs of a local...

Picked up my copy today - but staying in its little plastis wrapper till next week as off to Silverdale with caravan and son.... No wife... Huzzah! A Mrs free week. So when Jim goes to bed about 7 it will be out with the Stella and out with the CM mag.

I have found a new road wheel for the 504 at last, which arrived this morning. Nipped up to quiky which is the nearest monkey den to get the tyres swapped over, shocking! The manager is actually mopping the floor in the workshop! Linda Barker seems to have been in with her design kit! A disco was surrounding a Xantia having electronic wheel...

Hmmm. If the big ends are noisy, chances are the crank may be damaged and will require a re-grind. Don't forget the crank is attached to the flywheel so you will have to unbolt this too, the crank won't just drop out when unbolted. You will have to take out the engine and gearbox and split the box off to get at the flywheel. Think about a new oil...

Doh!, i noticed an Alfa 156 selespeed (semi automatic) w reg on ebay today and thought i'd put a bid in on it not expecting to win it and i did, got it for £1120 bit noisy big ends that i have got to change,
I am quite liking the idea of an alfa now after thinking about it but i have never ever tried to take the bottom end of an engine apart, does...

as the very good tv advert goes, if they dont tax them, do they mot them and then do they insure them...although i question the advert showing the rear end of an immaculate looking 3 door sierra cosworth in a dodgy estate. Only time that would occur would be if it was stolen and dumped there, they are worth a lot these days :)

Just for once, they are doing what we want them to do!!!
They have targeted untaxed cars in Leyton and Leytonstone, East London, over the last few days and I have seen hundreds, one or more cars up virtually every street with a BIG strong clamp on them, not the rubbishy council one that they just break off!!!

Sorry - I know there are plenty of lovers of this car out there, but I really hate my AX. Its not the size, its just harsh to drive, has seats which offer bog all suport or comfort and since buying it has had more bits drop off than my first car (an Austin 1300).

Its got to go.

am i right to be scared.... i was doing the tyre pressures on my car at my local garage and a bloke drove up in an old Saab....when i had finished he asked me if i could set the numbers on the tyre pressure machine for him...as he could not see them...aggghhhh
oh and he wanted 40 PSI put in his tyre as it had a slow puncture!
am i being wet or is...

Our university site support used to have a peugeot 106 electric van. It was creepy the way it would just move off from stationary in almost complete silence. I don't think it was particularly powerful, as it never seemed to accelerate very quickly, and the bloke who used to drive it was a complete chav, who no doubt drove it foot to the floor....

This bloke doesn't seem to have had a lot of luck with his xantias, does he??
I like the fault-finding approach on the white one- disconnect the HP pump, alternator, and starter- and then list that under 'good points'!!!!
