Hi
Trying to change the brakepads on my mate's 92 VW polo yesterday. Seems the whole caliper has to come off, and then the two parts taken apart in order to fit new pads. We get the calipers off and the remnants of the old pads out, before discovering that he had the wrong pads anyway so we called a halt.
Has anyone done this or know of a decent forum? I think I can see how if is supposed to work but I'd like to crosscheck as usual.
Thanks

Sounds like a similar caliper to that fitted to my old Fiat Punto cabrio. click https://sslrelay.com/buypartsby.co.uk/friction/vw.pdf for the Delphi identification chart.
