Hi, I have twice filled the tank to near full and each time there has been diesel leaking afterwards , seemingly near the top. However my mechanics cannot find the source but will change the seal on the sender unit as a 1st step though it’s not apparent to be coming from it. Anyone experienced this before?. A good few years back I caught turbo failure very early on, (took engine out, cleaned up top end) replaced turbo and, as recommended, changed the turbo oil feed pipe, banjo bolts and copper washers.

At the time of the rebuild I had issues getting the block end of the feed pipe's banjo bolt connection to be oil tight. Ultimately cured by annealing...

It is running maybe a little rough, slight hesitation on throttle, possibly a little thristy. At first I thought maybe an injector was bad then I checked the fault codes and it shows P1382. My googlefu says that is for the VVT solenoid. Am I right or wrong? Second question is where is it...

I've been noticing the 407 is gradually using more fuel. A couple of years ago on a long trip to the UK and back at 70-75 mph on motorways it gave me 53 mpg. Just done a 450 mile run at the same speeds yesterday, again on the motorway and it's doing 42 mpg. Last time it went to the MOT the tester said the emissions were unstable but it passed....

I have to check out the alternator system , trying to locate the alternator fuse , just where is the fuse , in the fuse tray or engine bay ?
Battery is very low , when i removed the positive terminal from the battery and engine running the engine cut out so seems like the alternator is duff or blown fuse .

Could a reset with a computer work? Can you use Lexia software you get of ebay to reset the position?

Air bag lights are an MOT fail this year. I had 'P611 - Right Front Satellite' on DiagBox.

After a lot of messing around this turned out to be the small green thing behind the Seat Belt Tensioner - ~£80 from the Dealer - and an easy fix.

they did also offer to drill it out and remap the ECU for £250 - appears this may be illegal, and would almost certainly invalidate my insurance even if not illegal

this car comes up with no comunication with the ABS/EPS ECU on Planet 2000,

is says ABS BRAKE FAULT on the display and several warning lamps are on also the speedo does not work

one fault code is P0500 relating to a speed sensor, but if the ABS ecu is not communicating, i would think the speed sensors are out of action,

I'm working on a 308 hdi 90. When I came to change the timing belt, it's a bit difficult. Because the engine is a 9HY 110 originally, and the flywheel has been swapped for the non DMF 90 one, there is no guarantee that the locking hole in the flywheel is in the right place. The flywheel isn't keyed to the crank.

Had a new 3 piece clutch fitted to my 14 plate 1.6hdi partner van, Simply because it was worn, Also had a clicking when the clutch pedal used every now and again which after diagnosis was the slave on the outside of the box.

Bought the car second hand in France from a Peugeot dealer. It has around 120,000km on the clock.
Last week, on our way to holiday, it died on the highway at 120kph. Death rattle and coasted to the hard shoulder. It had been running perfectly smoothly, no noises, or problems...

I've just pulled the injectors from a replacement engine, three came out with minor persuassion, and one was really tight and came out with the sleeve.

I had to abuse it and then use a mildly modified 2 litre HDi puller set that I had in the garage. The sleeve is well and truly stuck onto the injector with carbon buildup, and I ran out of time....
