Not sure if its me but my new van feels like the accelerator pedal is a bit stiff. Van is 70 plate Peugot expert 2.0HDI. It just feels a little bit harder than it needs to be, it also has quite a bit of travel, I almost have to lean forward to get it to the floor. Also the other day I removed the fan motor as something was caught up inside it and to get the motor out I had to remove the pedal, when doing this I noticed the pedal was actually broke on the top mount so only the two bottom studs are holding it on.
I don't think the broken bit it causing it to be stiff as its still pretty secure with the two bottom bolts, I think it may have broken as its a bit stiff as opposed to being broken causing it to be stiff.
Are there any common issues with this pedal? I've also got a 17 plate new shape Dispatch and the pedal doesn't feel stiff in that one.

Can you post a picture of the pedal which may jog someone's memory?
