I've recently installed new rear axle/trailing arm bushes (urgh) and on lowering the car it seems to be sitting lower on the back.
Maybe the springs have gone and it's just my imagination (this is a new car to me) that it's lower than when I started the work but as I was lowering the jack for the final time, the car seemed to just keep dropping to the point I thought I'd left something off and jacked it back up.
Shocks are bolted, springs in place and I only tightened the axle bush bolt once the car was on the floor. So can there be anything silly I've done before I go swapping the springs? They don't seem to matter which way around they go, so long as the top and bottom blocks are in place but a little knowledge is dangerous so if there's anythong simple you guys can advise, please do.
(bushes were put in with the markers in same position as old ones)
Brackets were painted due to a not excessive corrosion advisory, springs were painted because I had the can in my hand lol few more bits to clean up and paint and that strap under the eolys tank is down to a few threads so has to be patched or replaced

Not having worked on a 307 I cannot offer any experienced view, however you may find something wrong if you read through this thread on the Peugeot forum:
