I bought Rislone 44720 and poured it into the tank when the fuel tank was half full. Does this additive clean the catalytic converter? Or is there another way to clean it? When the car is idling, it emits a light mixture of white and blue smoke from the rear and has a very foul smell, but it's not an oil smell. Please help. Thank you, ?brahim...

Hello,

I have a Peugeot 308 2012 e-hdi 112hp, and in the last few weeks - since the temperatures outside dropped, i have a EML showing up on the dash.

I took the car to Peugeot main dealer, it showed p2173 air metering valve, throttle body position too open i think. Since the new part was gonna cost 250 euros at the dealer, i ordered a second...

Hi!
I have just bought a 2014 5008 1.6Hdi. I got an error with DPF. Have changed DPF, reset in Diagbox. However, engine management light still coming on with code U0140 in the engine ECU. BSI ECU has errors with communicating with various ECUs. Could the BSI errors be causing the engine managment light to come on or is it ONLY engine ECU errors...

I'd like to preface this by saying, this is my first car, having passed my test just one month ago. I'm not experienced with car mechanics, but after researching thoroughly I deemed an injector replacement well within my remit, though not a mechanic, I am very handy with tools and filddy bits.

On my way from Dublin, exiting a toll booth, my car...

Could one of you fine folks who have access to part number information give me the part code for the front right wheel speed sensor for a 2010 RCZ.

Thanks,

Andy.

Hello, I see a lot of people asking for the drivers for Lexia 3 VCI, I am too.
I purchased a used radio RT3 on eBay because mine stopped working, but now the radio beeps, I can not store the time/date etc.

Our RCZ has a bit of an odd one... my wife normally drives it around with the headlight stalk in the auto position and reported that only one of the side lights came on.

When I have looked at the car using the side lights, dipped, main beam options on the stalk all of the bulbs come on as expected but she is correct that only one of the side...

Hi all,
Is there any chance that someone is selling a good MFD display with gps for 406?
Or, is there a solution to change the display somehow and fit a newer one?

Thx

I've have an issue with a random cranking, but no start for around 9 month now in my 2020 208.
To get it started I have to switch the ignition off (Push button start) for around 1 minute until the BSI sleeps, then try again and it will start every time.
Its also developed another issue where sometimes, immediately after starting the engine, it...

Hi all, after 100,000+km of super-reliable running (adding to the 190,000 already on the car!) my trusty 308 has developed a fairly comprehensive power loss. It starts instantly...but won't rev past 1500, 'lots' of grey smoke . To be fair, I had been ignoring an air mixer fault (always too closed, disintegrated actuator arm) so I had noticed more...

Hello guys,

So i have a funny and sad story. I bought the car and took it to a mechanic with some strange noise from the engine. Then it turned out the mechanic guy lied to me all the time he tried to scam me... maybe he changed a lot of stuff as well but i cannot prove it so i am fckd...
I had to move the car with a trailer because the dashboard...

Hi, would gladly take some input on what is going on here!

2006 307 hatchback.
The right indicator starting blinking double the speed in the car, after a good while the left starting to do the same. It turns out that both the wiring contact and the pin in the lamp holder in the rear is burned up on both sides. What could have caused this is my...

Hi, This is my first time on a forum so here goes! The SMEG radio on my 308 SW keeps losing radio stations (poor reception message pops up) and my auto electrician tells me it's most probably the antenna amplifier that's gone as oppoosed to the main radio head. I've taken out the roof lining, looked behind the rear quarter lights, followed the...

Peugeot Expert Mk2 2016
Now I know that dropping the tank and connecting on top should be the way to go, however...... for reasons best left unexplained, I'm looking to connect an auxiliary diesel heater into the return line (smaller line, green clip) on my Expert.
Now while I can find T pieces listed for every other make of van, I can't seem to...

Hi,

What is the correct PAS fluid for 1993 309?

Halfords website recommends comma MVCHF fluid, but my gut feeling is that it is just standard PAS fluid such as Comma PSF.

Car is recently acquired, so just changing all fluids.

Cheers,

Richard

Just received a letter from Peugeot, our 2019 308sw needs the rear seat belt anchorage reinforcing or it might rupture in a crash. Maybe somebody has been injured to cause this safety recall.

Edit
Now booked in at our dealer in a couple of weeks and they also said it has a recall for the camshaft (1.5 hdi). It was serviced in May by them so this...

Hi there,

Just found this forum, if you're on any of the GTi Facebook groups you may have come across my several posts in regards to this!

This may take a bit of explaining, so bare with me! In a nutshell, my car isn't boosting above maybe 4psi if I'm lucky. It's a 2017 (pre-facelift) 308 GTi 270hp with the EP6FDTR engine.

Hi all.
Can anybody tell me if the BCM on the 2021 boxer is controlled by the telematics unit.
It was in at Peugeot Inverness for diagnostics for multiple dashboard warning lights and guages not working. They suggest that as a first stage I should replace the telematics unit. :?:

Hello all,
I’ve been building an S2 Rallye here in Finland. It’s had a hard life so I thought I would do it right and it’s been bareshelled. Now it’s fun remembering how everything goes back together!
Right now I’m trying to get the gearbox linkages set up correctly.
I had trouble getting the box into neutral so I dropped the box again and I’m...

Hi I've seen a lot of threads about this but just want to make sure I got the right info.
So I got the P15B3 fault code on my Peugeot 3008 II 1,6 hdi 2017.
My questions are the following.
1. Do i need to detach the tank in order to fill it or can I just use a refill kit? I've only found videos on the older 3008.
2. How much fluid will the tank...

I'm getting ready to order parts for an oil change, but I can't for the life of me figure out what size sump plug (and sealing ring) I need.

It's a Boxer with the DW10FUD engine (2016 2.0 bluehdi 130)

Is there an easy way to find this out without having to pull the old one first and measure it?

Or was this the kind of thing the old “Parts...

Dear All
My i first introduce myself as a new member to the Forum having just bought a Peugeot Partner Horizon 1.6hdi, Wheelchair Access Vehicle. My wife and i are lucky to have all four parents still alive even though we are in our early 60's.
The almost daily hospital/medical/Doctors/opticians/shopping etc runs required something i could carry...

My 207cc 1.6HDi has developed a kinda lumpy tickover.
It dips every second or so and then recovers. This continues until it is warm. At which point it becomes almost undetectable.
I've had the intake system up to the turbo off a few times recently for other things so I'm suspecting unmetered air entering from the connection to the PCV valve as...

Hi

How much gear oil if I want to change it?

My 25 yo Pug 806 has just passed it's 2 yearly French Controle Technique.
Needs new front discs & pads but still complies & I knew that anyway.
Sort of job I'd have done myself a few years ago but now it's to the local garage it goes.
It's the Roland Garros version with all the bells & whistles & the only thing that doesn't work is the Air Con...

Ok, I give up.
After attempt number three, there must be a secret easy way of changing the fuel pressure regulator on a 1.6HDi 207cc (207/sw/etc)
Latest attempt involved removal of the unpressurised side of the induction system to allow the airbox to be moved sideways to potentially gain access.
Working by feel I removed 3 hex bolts which both...

Hi all,
I'm a first time owner of a 2007 Peugeot 207, and due to some issues with starting up and OBD 2 scanner faults I decided to replace the camshaft position sensor.

I already got the part, but when it came to actually replacing it I couldn't find it.

All the blueprints/instructions for 207 I see online seem to refer to a different engine

I...

Hello!
Today I had to replace one of the injectors in my Peugeot 3008 car (1.6 HDI, 9HZ). After the replacement, I did not enter the code of the new injector into the ECU immediately. I drove 20 km. There were no problems. It did not smoke, the engine ran smoothly. Then I entered the code of the new injector. Since then, when I start it warm, the...

Hi

My Partner 1.4 petrol 97 sometimes goes up in rpm and if I turn off the car it won't start.
This problem will just disappear and it goes perfect for long times and then out of the blue it happens again.

I been cleaning the throttlehousing and all of its components but nothing helps

Checked every connection also, but so hard to solve when I...

So, I've been doing some quite in depth messing around with OBD on my 2008 207cc 1.6Hdi.
The diagrams in ServiceBox indicate that the 'CAN IS' is attached to a 250kbps CAN bus on the J1962 standard pins 6 & 14.
Also... it indicates an ISO14230 'K Line' directly connected to the engine ECU on J1962 pin 7 and a non-standard 'DIAG CAN' at 500kbps...

Hi Team,

Last night when driving home, I noticed a very strong exhaust smell through the cabin vents which was so bad I had to turn the re-circ function on to stop the smell from coming through from the engine bay.

I have since checked and it looks like there are exhaust fumes leaking from the manifold gasket.

I have done some research but I...

We have a 2009 1.4 VTi on 75k, it is rough at idle and the revs hunt. Unfortunately, the car has been off the road for a while and I don't know anything about the back story except that it has a full service history. I have given it a service anyway but that has not helped.

It has a code for the Cat of P0420. Obviously it could be the Cat, but it...

Hello everyone. So I have peugeot 2008 with 1.2 eb2dt hn01. Long story lost oil pressure and now has scoring on camshafts and crankshaft, so basically engine is gone. The question is what is the difference on engine codes? There are so many different ones, and I can't find any info. I got offered engine from 2022 citroen that has only done 1100...

I'm wondering if my newly aquired Boxer has a timing belt or chain - and at what point I should look into whether it's time for a replacement.

It has driven 102.000 km and was first registered 02/2017. All services has been done on time.

Hi all have a strange intermittent charging issue.

Car normally charges at 14.7volts. However occasionally the voltage will drop to 12.6 roughly. However when on overrun or strangely activate wipers, the voltage goes back to normal, then drops down when driving or at idle. No fault codes present in bsi,...

Hi everyone,
my 5008 keeps draining the main battery (drops from 12.4 V to 10.8 V in a few days).
I can hear a faint beeping or buzzing after onneting the battery. I guess its from the alarm siren.
I did looking for it but cannot find, guess will be hidden under windshield.
I would like to disconnect it, but I’m not sure if it will start sounding...

Hello. I have a problem here. There is a problem with the connection to the unit ESP/ABS. I need to know the connection of its bases and I do not have access to its diagram. There is probably a unit failure. Do any of the administrators or people have access to the diagrams?
